QcySS
Hey everyone! Wasn't really shopping around for a SS as I am shopping for a 4wd extended cab Silverado, but found one locally from a private seller. Black 2005 SS AWD with a little under 117,000 miles. $12,750. Interior is in great shape and good/great exterior for being a black vehicle. Minor scratches and missing two center caps. - One owner - Most maintenance records (owner did minor work like oil changes and dealer performed all other work and some oil changes if he was too busy) - OnStar - Leather with heated seats - Tow Package - Dual zone climate - Rubber bed mat - Locking fiberglass bed cover - I think it is fully loaded besides sunroof - Mostly highway miles - Volant CAI - Exhaust (not sure of model) - Chrome stock wheels Let me know what you guys think. I'm between Springfield, IL and St Louis, MO and there aren't many of these to compare prices. Most are way lower miles. Thanks! JC03SS
Sounds like a pretty good deal. When u drive an SS to me that's top of the line. The rest handling and power wise don't compare.

f1ss
Digital or Analog a/c and heat guages? Sounds like a good deal but see if he fixed the intermediate steering column "clunk," and also see when/if the steppar motors have been changed. Check out the transmission, differentials especially. I would pay to have a dealership drain the fluids just to see what the fluid coming out looks like. If the gear lube and tranny synthetic oil looks good I think you have a deal. You can also install a custom sunroof, the ones from Oshawa seemed to have some issues, luck of the draw just like the tranny and front differential. Digital, steppar motors just changed, had dealer fix clunk, and my trusted shop performed an inspection and gave it a clean bill of health. Thought miles were a little high for a SS as most for sale are lower. I overlooked some clear coat issues on the front bumper. Price I negotiated is 12k and I wonder if I can knock it down another $200 for a bumper repaint. They were asking 13.5k and must try to sell ASAP as his job is taking him to Europe for 4 years. He wouldn't sell the truck otherwise.
Downeast Johnny
Sounds like a pretty well maintained truck. I might try for the $200 for the bumper damage but I think I'd go for it if I liked the truck.
