dklapper Posted September 26, 2004 Report Share Posted September 26, 2004 I picked up my truck new yesterday and was polishing wheels and found all 4 center caps with little spots of peeling chrome. The dealer had this truck for awhile. I thought I bring it to attention so others could check theirs. Guess I'll be taking it back to get those replaced. Dylan06SS Posted September 26, 2004 Report Share Posted September 26, 2004 If you've ever used a "spray-on & walk-away" wheel cleaner (i.e. - eagle one tire shine) that may have caused it. I found that out the first time my truck went in for service at the dealer... had the same problem when I got mine back... pointed it out and they replaced it, but those wheel cleaner products are just too harsh.
