Blazerdave2000
The gear indicator on my cluster is acting weird. Lets say I'm in park and go to drive ill actually be in drive but the indicator will be stuck in park for like 5 to 8 sec and it will actually go down to what ever gear I'm in. Not a huge deal but kind of annoying. Anyone have any clue what this is?
Downeast Johnny
Never heard of this problem before. Good luck with it. You might want to get up with SilveradoSS, (Steve). He's a member here and he works / rebuilds clusters. Heres a link to his site, http://www.gmgaugeguy.com/Gauge_Cluster_Repair.html

Downeast Johnny
His screen name is Silverado777. I knew that. I just had him do my cluster a couple months ago. Don't know what I was thinking.

Blazerdave2000
I'm going to send my cluster out to be repaired and led conversion. I looked over there website do I need to actually call them first or can I just print out the form and send it to them? Thanks
chpspecial
This is most likely an issue with your park neutral safety switch on the side of your trans, not the gauge cluster. Have you recently removed your trans. The lever slot probably is worn out. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
Blazerdave2000
Yes I had the Trans out a few months back to have it beefed up and it's been doing it ever since. Would you have a part number for that switch so I could order it up? Thanks
chpspecial
i don't have a part number, just go into the dealer with your vin number, shouldn't be an issue. You could also take it back to the shop, sometimes it can be repaired if it isn't to far gone.
