jsm110
Been planning this upgrade for awhile. finally made the decision to try to paint this all myself. Swapping the grille bumper and mirrors. Will be my first attempt at painting so hoping this goes well. heres the current look and my shitty attempt at using paint to show the project. time to get rid of the chrome. jsm110
I painted this weekend. It went ok for my first time. Spraying clear was a lot harder then I thought. Learned that I should have had better lighting. Everything came out ok except one of the mirrors has some bad runs. its on bottom so I might mount it and see how bad it is. Kind of scared to color sand and buff the mirrors with them being rounded im worried ill burn through the clear. was freaking out about that when i was sanding/buffing the grille. I plan on trying to mount everything this weekend. Edited June 19, 2013 by chevytruckjsm (see edit history)
jsm110
Got 1 mirror mounted. Sucks you have to take whole door panel off to get to them. Didnt get far tonight. spent 3 hours at dealer trying to get them to align tires right on the ss (and they still couldnt do it right so i have to go back.) I think that the window vents need to go now. what do you guys think?
