NateZ
Hey all, I have an '02 with 116k miles on it. Recently, when I first start the truck, I can hear a clicking sound coming from the tranny while at idle in park. Only at idle, if I rev at all it stops, then comes back when the engine settles at idle. I can hear it in the cab. Sounds like a marble or two is loose in there, however its steady clicking, not random. Not sure if it does it in gear, with tire noise and stuff its hard to tell. The tranny doesn't slip or give me any other problems. When the truck has been driving for a bit the sound is almost gone, but still there alittle. Any ideas? NateZ
Addition: At a stop with the brake on, it makes the sound in all gears, including park, reverse and neutral.... Nate

BlueAKSSS
Ya that sounds kinda like a bad flex plate or loose flex plate bolts/torque converter bolts to me... Open up the little inspection cover on the trans bellhousing underneath and check it out the best you can.
