JCFURBSS Posted July 3, 2013 Report Share Posted July 3, 2013 Hi I have an 04 Silverado SS and I have all three hub bolts and the 36 mm nut off and the hub is stuck after banging with hammer repeatedly. Is there any other nut or bolt that I missed that is still keeping it on? I do live up north and it there is a lot of rust. I sprayed the crap out of it with PB Blaster and banged on it with a hand sledge and banging a crowbar to try and create a wedge, i tried jacking up the truck on just the hub. What gives? does any one know any better tricks? I'm working in my driveway and i don't have any air tools or a air chisel.......PLEASE HELP. Thanks. Or is the hub stuck in the spindle?try removing the axle completely and then hitting the hub from the back side. Maybe get some bolts longer than the stock ones, thread them in and hit those.
