sunshinestatess
so its been about four months since i drove the sss. so today i walk out into my shop uncover it hit the unlock button on the key fob and nothing. so i pull one of my shop trucks up to it to jump it off. i unlock the door with the key, pop the hood and hook up jumper cables straight to the battery posts immediately the alarm goes crazy so i hit the unlock button on the fob to shut it off. it shuts off i wait about 30 seconds with the jumper cables on, get in the truck hit the switch the starter tries to spin then immediately everything goes dark no door lights no overhead lights no power to gauges, nothing, i took the cover off the relay box nothing looks burnt or smells burnt . idk what happened. Downeast Johnny
Battery cable connections clean? Next check main ground's. Beyond that I don't have a clue. Good luck. Should have added that the bit about hitting the starter and everything cutting off sounds like insufficient ground. 90zxdriver
A bad battery will cause all sorts of electrical issues. Try a slow trickle charge on your current battery or replace if necessary.
SSchevySS
My guess would be you popped the fuseable link in your pos cable... Happened to me in my old Silverado...I dont know if our trucks still have that fuseable link but I would say they do...
Argo_SS
X2 on the bad connection at battery. I hate side posts for that reason.
