They don't start making a profit until they sell you something extra on top of your oil change. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My quick lube story: I'd just changed the fuel filter on my 92 stang, and because I was out of time, pulled into a mobil quick lube for a quick oil & filter. They opened my hood, stuck their heads under and said "Hey buddy you need a new fuel filter." See that's funny because the fuel filters on the stangs were out by the fuel tank... When I said it was brand new and asked them to show it to me, they said I couldn't get out of the car because of insurance regs. They were confused when I told them to close my hood -- right up until I told the manager where to find the fuel filters on 92 stangs. Never trust those guys about anything... ShortBus Posted October 20, 2004 Author Report Share Posted October 20, 2004 I just got a 70 dollar full detail job out of Jiffy lube, in fact they paid the guy to come to my house and do it so I wasn't inconvienced or the fact that I didn't sue them.
