sprayed99
Sounds like you have a bad new alternator. As long as everything fit and it has the proper plug for the bridge you should be charging. 1BAD2K
↑↑↑agreed. Have the alternator tested. Probably a bad one.
built04SS
Already had it tested and it want working and he fixed it and said it works now.... my alternator bracket is powder coated black and the alternator is powder coated..... could that have anything to do with it? Someone said the powder coating on the bracket where the alternator sits could cause it
1BAD2K
I believe it is grounded through its mounting spot, but I could be wrong. Electrical side is a foreign language to me lol, is it coated where the mount touches the frame and alternator mounting spots?
ssfast
Yeah it grounds through the case the engine GND is on that bracket!

Thatdavidkid
Run a ground wire from the alternator directly to something bare metal. You'll need to remove a little coating in that area to make good contact because yes, it does ground through the case.

highvoltamps
I can help you out, do you have a scan tool? Are you throwing any codes? Explain when the problem started, what was changed and part numbers used for replacement.
