Thing1
I had planned on dropping my ss clone lower on the factory 20" wheels but talked to a guy with them on a 4/6 running 275/45/20 and he said he had to roll the fender lips to get them to tuck. I was wondering if anyone knew if the 22" replicas had a different offset and would tuck without having to roll the lips, as I really don't wanna risk cracking my bed paint. If you guys have any input I'd love to know, thanks! Edited October 29, 2013 by Thing1 (see edit history)
f1ss
Know of 3 people with 5/5 drop, two of them have have 22" wheels. Not the 6inch drop rear you want though.
silverado_ss_04
22x10 reps are +40 offset. I had to trim some of my rear inner fender to tuck them. I can post pics later if needed.
Blown 346
If the 20's wont tuck why would the 22's??
ThatTallCanadian
I also had to trim my fender lips. Currently 4/6 running 265/35/
Thing1
If the 20's wont tuck why would the 22's??Because I figured maybe the offset of the wheel was different? I've heard that the 20" reps are different than the 20" oem wheel so I figured that the 22"s might be too. And yeah if you guys who trimmed them wouldn't mind posting pics that would be great! SickChevy06
Not really tucking but at that angle (Rear) the 22" does not rub at at all and no trimming had to be done 4/6 drop
ThatTallCanadian
Ya but itll rub/scrape on bumps I bet. Mine would sit fine but it scraped and rubbed and cut tire sidewalls on bumps
Thing1
How bad do they ride with that 4/6 in comparison to some 20s? I'd imagine they'd have to be near rubberbands with those 22"s and beat you to death right? Lol.
