Arkie
Is this possible? Seems I saw this as a sticky a couple years ago while visiting this forum. Thanks, Bob

Thank you bass man, I was remembering a more easily understood diagram here, but that will get me where I neeed to be. Bob

fast4popper
It's a diode. Not a resistor.
Blown 346
Thank you, Diode.
coal miner
Best way is to wire up a relay for the low beams, when the high beams are on. Lights will be brighter to. The Diode trick isn't the way to go IMO. Cost you about 10 bucks for the relay and wire. It was a have to for me, my hids would blink cause the diode could supply the power. Very easy to do!! fast4popper
Had mine on a diode for over 8'years. Never a single blink. Part coast less than a dime. No worries about a relay getting wet under the hood and causing major issues. Relays under hood are a bad bad idea
coal miner
I bought the diode form summit racing and it just wouldn't work for me. Idk maybe I got a bad one lol. I never had a prob with my relay setup I've had for three years. How would it ever get wet? Solder everything and heat shrink it and everything is good. fast4popper
Wet inside the relay. Bad news! If u buried it under the fuse cover you're ok. But out in the engine bay or Behind the lights could be bad
coal miner
Mines on the fire wall. The relay is sealed tho. I just can't see how water would get inside of it. But yeah that a good point I would put it behind the lights or nothing like that.
