BlueAWDSS
Notice tonight that my auto dimming mirrors are not dimming. The little green light on the mirror is on. Sort of confuzzled about it. Any of you guys have any insight. Paul Sent from my PantechP8010 using Tapatalk
BLOWN SS/T
Ya I'm pretty sure it's the glass it self that needs replacing. The passenger side on these trucks don't dim right, it's just the driver side.
BlueAWDSS
Yeah just the drivers side. And the rear view or the drivers side doesn't dim. So when you say glass what glass? chawkins6789
If both don't dim, I dont think it would be the glass
BlueAWDSS
I agree. They used to dim. It was just tonight I noticed that headlights were blinding me. That is what caught my attention. Don't know how long it has been going on. Sent from my PantechP8010 using Tapatalk
BLOWN SS/T
Oh if they both went out then i'd look into the electronics, fuse maybe. I was thinking you said just the driver side went out, so usually people replace the mirror itself. I believe they wear out after time and get this gassy look. BlueAWDSS
Are these on a separate fuse? Yeah neither of them work right now. Sent from my PantechP8010 using Tapatalk
Blown 346
If it were the glass normally you would see the fluid inside the outside mirror only. My buddy had the same issue with his denali. His rear view mirror wouldnt work so the driver mirror didnt work either. He replaced the rear view and everything worked fine. I would do a Volt test on the wiring going to the rearview mirror first. if ou have power there, its the mirror itself. Just be warned they arent cheap, steer clear of the dealer for this one. BlueAWDSS
Anyone have wiring schematics for the rear view mirror? Sent from my PantechP8010 using Tapatalk
Blown 346
Just try and pull back the wire covering and see what color wires are there.
BlueAWDSS
Ha figured it out. I am a new father Lol. My daughter was born November 1st. Well her car seat has a base. So with her car seat in and it is in the middle it blocks headlights from hitting the sensor. I took a flashlight today to the sensor and guess what. They both dimmed out. And I just drove it and they dimmed out. Ooops Lol. Sent from my PantechP8010 using Tapatalk
