lowering question

hey fellas, new guy here with a question about lowering my truck. I have an awd 2003 Silverado ss that im wanting to drop some. I think the look and stance im after is a 3/4 drop. so heres what im unsure of, I pull a 16 ft trailer with 3-4 atvs on it. I haven't a clue how much the trailer weighs but the 4 wheelers are around 500 lbs apiece. ill attach a picture with the trailer so maybe you can get an idea of how much the trailer weighs?

can I lower this truck and still pull a trailer? the closest riding park we go to is 3 hours away. do I have to have drop shocks? I just bought bilsteins a couple months ago and would like to keep them if possible. my plans of lowering the truck is a-arms in front and shackles in back. is there a better way? from reading the above pinned thread it seems spindles is the proper way to lower the front? im totally open to suggestions, if its even possible that is. ive never lowered a vehicle before so this is all new to me. im mechanically inclined so im not worried about the install I just need to know if its possible and what the best way to do it is.

any information would be appreciated. thanks for your time fellas

I have the DJM 3/4 drop. Lower control arms and shackles and hangers. I pulled a car trailer (2500lbs) with a chevy S10 on it(3500lbs) and didn't have a problem. The only thing I had to buy was a different hitch/ Had to get one that goes up instead of down to even out the rear. The only thing I worried about was the rear tires. It tucked them right up to the fender. But I drove from Phoenix to Tucson no problem. I would recommend a shift kit though.

I have a belltech/mcgoofy's 3/4 drop, I'm running new OEM shocks with no problems. I have spindles and purple keys up front, with shackles and hangers in the back. DJM lower control arms are also an option for lowering the front.. shackles will only give you a 2 inch drop max, you'll need the front hangers as well for the complete 4 inch drop in the rear. Install a set of helper air bags, and you'll be able to tow that trailer no problem without having the rear of the truck squat. I air up my helper bags to 50psi with my streetbike (450ish lbs) in the bed, and the truck rides better than when it's empty.

I believe I emailed norcal ss and talked it over with him some. Glad you chimed in! So no one has experienced binding issues? Would I be more likely to experience this while pulling a trailer?

no there is no binding issues when towing at all. this is over 10 years of me installing them also. Towing/racing/road corse etc

I might suggest c-notching the frame if you do decide to go 3/4, most days you're fine without it but on those days when you're loaded down the c-notch is a life saver, Norcal sells these as well. I went 3 years without a notch and finally did it earlier this year, now kicking myself for not doing it sooner

..just my 2 cents
