mechanix565
so guys ive come to the conclusion that a 10 bolt will never be enough so im gonna take the plunge. i can get a 14 bolt from an 05 2500 HD which is full floater and nice and strong. however are the perches close? i know its 8 lug so im either gonna keep it 8 lug and figure out how to use 8 lug front hubs and just get 8 lug rims or redrill the axles and rotors for 6 lug id like to use the full floater setup only because its local and cheap and its a friend of mine who has it but if theres no way to make it work then i wont waste my time, the truck is a 2001 RCSB 1500
Bigtoyz97
The 14 bolt will be 3/8 shorter (from axle flange to axle flange) but that isn't the problem......... I don't think anyways. The spring perches are taller on the 14 bolt. I'm sure if you did a search you would come across some more info.
BlownFogger540
that's the wrong 14 bolt, you want one from a 05-07 1500 SS or crew cab 9.5" 14 bolt not 10.5 or 11.5 AXN is the axle code and they are rare as the SS is
