cleansss20 Posted December 24, 2013 Report Share Posted December 24, 2013 Well....Looks like I had a good run with my trans after 110k miles and about 10k of them being procharged lol. Was going to pass a row of about 3 cars on the highway last night..kicked down at 55 an looked down and I was doing 75 in no time then a pop and the truck hit the rev limiter. Lost D and 3rd. Had to drive 25min the rest of the way home in 2nd. Not only that but I felt like a douche after hauling @$$ around those cars only to get in front of them and drive 60 haha. Looks like I will be either building this trans for my Christmas present to myself of piecing together a 4l80e build. I really want to do the 80e swap but I have never changed a trans and I don't know the exact measurements of the driveshafts so if somebody can give me a length I would appreciate it!
