I have to talk to my brother. FYI, the dealer said that numerous 03 silverados have been complaining of issues with inaccurate spedos both too fast and too slow. No issues with mine though. Xero Posted October 16, 2004 Report Share Posted October 16, 2004 well i noticed my stock one was anywhere fron 2-4 mph higher than my actual speed, i.e. if the gauge said i was doin 35 id be doing 32 but since putting white face gauges on its now 5-8 mph too low i.e. it says 60 in doing around 70 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
hank Posted October 16, 2004 Author Report Share Posted October 16, 2004 Krambo, i asked my dealer if others have complained about this to them before and they said, not this. they have had people accidently switch from mph to kph, giving what appeared to be a false reading. Krambo Posted October 19, 2004 Report Share Posted October 19, 2004 Well, I talked to my brother and here is some information: It was an internal short in the instrument panel cluster. Condition code - OJ Fail code - 6G A new instrument cluster was installed. (along with a new CD player - the original would skip every CD and eventually spit them out.)
