Bigtoyz97
Was reading through the thread on the radar detectors and didn't want to take away from it. But has anyone had any doings with the jammers? Guess the K-40's and Escort one are actually suppose to work. Kind of curious as if they actually work. One of them jams for 10 sec and stops, giving you enough time to hit the brakes and not draw any interest on you.
Blown 346
The hard part about jammers now a days is with all the new technology with radar, the jammers might or might not work. It is also possible for the new radar guns to actually detect a jammer. if you get caught with one you are in big trouble. Fines can be as much as 50K and 5 years in prision if caught. If you really think about it, the FCC wouldnt market any jammer to work flawlessy against the government since thats who pay them.... Ive always just gotten a good quality detector and have never gotten caught for speeding. My detector has a range of about a mile with flat roads. Heres some interesting facts about them. After I read this, I would put the money somewhere else. https://autos.aol.com/article/how-radar-and-laser-jammers-work/
Bigtoyz97
I was just curious about it is all. But the article in that link brings up some interesting ways to give you little bit more time to react. But your right about putting money someplace else......just not worth the trouble you could get into. And most the states that make illegal are the ones I'm in so kind of puts it out of reach. Blown 346
I hear you. I thought about them in the past and found the trouble you could get as well, along with them not being 100% accurate.
BLNAWAY
Your better off and safer with getting a radar dector the jammer are illegal nation wide, but save and invest in a nice one like passport 8500 50x or the 9500 or something like the valtiane 1 has arrows that tell you what way the cop is, me personally I have the passport 8500 50x and love it has never failed me, on flat ground I'd say it has a 2 mile range at lease I haven't read the book on it for awhile so not sure what the actual range is. I also have had the cobra dectors those worked good but didn't have the range that the passport has and the passport has more features to deter false alerts. But you get what you pay for hit ebay see if you can find a good deal on a valtiane and you won't regret it
