Either injectors are maxed out or fuel pump not keeping up... check the duty cycle of your injectors on a WOT pull... Anything over 80% is not good... Then if you have a fuel pressure gauge make sure that it stays steady between 53-60psi at WOT... If it drops below 50 your running out of pump... Also its a good idea to log and check your knock sensors as well to make sure there is not any detonation going on, if your running out of fuel at 5k you probably are seeing higher knock numbers there as well...
