4l80e flex plate/spacer?

Recommended Posts

Ok so Im having my 4l80e built right now with a jakes performance kit and I've already purchased my multi disk circle d converter. Question is do I just need spacer and bolts or do i need new flex plate as well? If you guys could add any links or info that would be great!

I'm pretty sure that the only crank shafts that need a spacer were the 99 00 cranks that already had a spacer. I am also doing this exact swap right now. Just waiting on the trans to come back and the motor from the machine shop. I just ordered this...

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Talk to whoever is making your converter and tell them exactly what you have. They can be made to be used with a spacer or not. If your using a stock converter (which I know your not) im pretty sure a spacer and flat flexplate would be needed. By the way I only thought the iron headed LQ4 had extended cranks?
