Thickcajun Posted May 2, 2014 Report Share Posted May 2, 2014 Okay I cleaned my motor with some gunk engine decrease then added the shine...maybe I went crazy but now I have the hell of a whining sound coming from the altenator...any ideas? Blown 346 Posted May 2, 2014 Report Share Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) The bearing could be going bad. Remove the belt, grab the pulley and slowly turn it with your hand still holding it. BLOWN SS/T Posted May 2, 2014 Report Share Posted May 2, 2014 I used the same stuff cleaner and shiner, and sprayed it down with hot water.
