I own a 2003 Silverado SS, everything is currently stock. I have 186k miles on it and I'm looking to get this baby FAST. I'm debating on putting a supercharger on the 6.0 and getting it tuned, but I'm concerned about what it would do to the motor with this many miles on it. The other option was replacing the motor with an LS1 or LT1. Also, I live in Houston and was planning on using Trickin Trucks for the rebuild, anyone have any experience with them? Thanks in advance for the advice.

The first thing I would do before you consider boosting it with those miles, is do a compression check to see where that at. If its strong then I wouldnt worry. As long as you dont put alot of boost at it. If you do replace the motor I would buy good quality components and build it with lower compression around 8:5.1 so when you boost it it will it end up being 9:5.1.

The motor isnt the weak link, the transmission is, be prepared to spend a few grand on getting one built if you want to go fast and have it last.

I would skip the idea of going with a LT1. If you want a iron block stick with with the 6.0 and build that. I personally have no experience with that name. All I can say is research several shops to make sure you are going to get what you pay for and that its done right. Dont always go with the cheaper shop. There are alot of scammers out there. What about Texas speed? They did a great job with my corvette, and others cars.
