rcapone
Not a huge update here, but was wondering if I could get some opinions on this polished intake tube I just installed last week. Should I polish out the TB too, OR powder coat them both black to match the blower instead?? rcapone
Updates!!!! NOW!! Lmao Lol, not much to update since I spent the money I was going to use on the new TFS 235's for a downpayment for my new work truck. I did get the tonneau back and Killer Paint turned in the worst paint job I personally have ever seen. My guess is since it was only a $1,700.00 paint job, he let his "interns" do all the work...honestly, MAACO would have done a better job. There are runs all down the drivers' side of the cover, a huge gouge they never repaired, sanding marks all over it, a chip they painted over that's right on the spoiler, he painted the flames on the cover brite white and there's no brite white anywhere on my truck (even though I sent him the tailgate cap from his original paint job), one of the paint lines on the left side is not plumb and shoots out to the left half way down the spoiler a little over 1/8" of an inch, dozens of particles of dirt they painted right over... Other than that, everything's just peachy! Oh yeah, it's already starting to peel in the corner by the cab - right where they did body work. rcapone
Wow. That's not cool at all! I think a little sit an talk is in order. Of course I already did that and he had nothing but excuses. In all fairness, he did refund the entire $1,700.00 after I sent him pics of his jacked up paint job without me even asking for my money back. At the end of the day and 3 weeks after I ordered it, I paid Gaylords just under $1,600.00 to fabricate and paint it to match my truck, then ship it to Killer Paint. They had it for 2 months and I paid another $440.00 in shipping to have it shipped home from them. The sad thing is I now have to find a competent paint shop around here in KC to sand it completely down and do it all over again since the paint job is so bad it makes my whole truck look like a hack job. Sure it looks okay from a distance but up close it makes me want to vomit! Edited September 18, 2014 by L8ERBRO (see edit history)

Sure it looks okay from a distance but up close it makes me want to vomit! It is a Bummer deal when something like this happens. And please don't think I am making an excuse for anyone. But I really feel it is hard to find people that take things seriously some time. As an enthusiast, we hold our trucks(or cars) to a different level. And some people just can't comprehend that. I do feel your pain. I hope you find someone locally that can do a knock down job and fix your bad deal, and for the right price! Good luck!
