jsanders347
Like the title says. it sounds like it tries to kick the disk out but it sounds like gears are stripped or something. Anyone else ever run into this?
Blown 346
Its not unusual. Its out of alignment. There is a thread here somewhere in how to, on how to fix it.
jsanders347
Finally got around to getting the disc out. Google said to try and reset the cd player so I unhooked the battery for about an hour. The cd player will not take discs either. It makes the same fast clicking noise it made when it tried to eject a disc. Still sound like something is out of alignment?
Blown 346
It sounds like the arms are stuck. My buddy had the same issue. He bought a aftermarket head unit, let his sit for a few months. Plugged his back in as we were doing a trans temp gauge, and the factory one ended up working on its own.
jsanders347
I've never been inside of a cd player. If I take it out and pull it apart will I see the arms you're talking about? Is it just a simple fix or is the radio toast?
