rcapone
I noticed there were little round retainers on each of the wheel studs and just looked at my stock rims to find out there are actual recesses on the back of the wheels to allow room for the retainers. Does anyone know what these are for? The company who installed my rims removed them before installing my intros.
zachm89
Only there to hold rotors in place while wheels/tires are off. They have no real purpose.
rcapone
Good, thanks Zach. I was hoping that was it but started to second guess after I noticed the recesses on the back of the wheels.
1BAD2K
Yep they're used at the factory so rotors aren't falling everywhere during assembly lol.

rcapone
Thanks guys, now I feel like a complete idiot, lol! Man, Chevy went through a lot of trouble to design our stock wheels around those little retainers
