Smokinthehippies
I tried searching but am clearly dumb. Is there a quick visual way to tell the difference between a Lq4 and the Lq9? Truck is an SS but just curious. Thanks
1BAD2K
Not with the motor in the truck and fully assembled.
03SSBoy
Isnt only the pistons that are different?
coal miner
Pull the heads. There might be a vin on the motor? I'm not sure tho. Edited September 8, 2014 by coal miner (see edit history)

chawkins6789
Pull a spark plug and look in the hole. Quickest way to tell
BLOWN SS/T
I remember reading on people using a screwdriver in the spark plug hole, if the pistons are flat its an lq9, if dished then lq4. Vaquero
Correct the pistons are the only difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
