Head question

Recommended Posts

So I was installing my new headers in the other day but before that I removed the old ones And just my luck one of bolts on the rear drives side was already broken off flash in the head and is a PITA to get to and tried everything to extract it So I gave up on it..

So my ??? is if I order new PRC heads from Texas speed what would I need to do this install correctly without any problems thanks in advance.

Thanks man but I tried that a few times already and no luck that nuts keeps breaking off its "inn their real good". How ur truck running?

Well that sucks, my truck is running pretty good right now (knock on wood). Trans feels like it slips every once in a while but it won't break. My warranty is up in 2 months. Did you change ur rims? I saw an intimidator the other day by where you stay at on black rims. I wasn't in the ss though

Is the bolt broken flush with the head or is it broke off inside the hole? It would be a lot cheaper to remove the head and extract the bolt than buying a ser of new heads of your in a bind. New bolts $22, OEM gasket $40, $12 coolant.

How do you likw the fast manifold?

  • 3 weeks later...

It broke in the worst possible way inside the head...

But man I'm loving the manifold it woke up the truck up a lot Can't wait to put these headers on and get it to the Dyno shop. And thanks again for your Help with my setup...

What all is done to your truck? My next upgrade is the fast102 and nick williams 102TB.
