jddmj
I have sold T-Shirts, I have sold hoodies, might as well sell a hood. I have been speaking with a local manufacture, and they have agreed to produce a 4" cowl hood for the 03-06 trucks. The hood would be based of the HD style hood, but the grill line will be adjusted to your year. I supposed to be getting some pics soon for those who are interested. $400.00+shipping. They are well made, and they hoods he builds are describes as "I can stand on them, and they wont crack." I still have not figured out why he is walking on his hoods, but thats a descent testimony. Pictures will insure interest I'm sure. I am just going off hear say. Here is what he currently produces, and he is willing to make it all the way to 4" The one pictured is 2.5-3" I can also get a custom hood that is 03-06 with a early 2000's camaro SS scoop molded in $400.00+shipping [/url] Other Silverado SS parts like the ISS spoilers, and brack ducts will be available too. $175.00+shipping for ISS Spoilers | Brake Ducts $200.00+shipping I am sure all items will need some body work, but nothing crazy. He insured that they would be a nice product. I will be unable to stand behind the product, as I am not manufacturing it. I will inspect everything over the best I can to make sure everyone is getting a nice piece. Money will be up front when the order starts. I will also be posting on other forums as well, so if you could, please say a good word for me if possible if you travel the other boards. This is my home forum, and though I post alot here, I do not post very often in other spots. I will be taking the order up until June 26th, 2015. If you are interested, let me know, and lets get this ball rolling. Edited May 26, 2015 by jddmj (see edit history)
BLOWN SS/T
Any idea of the weight?
jddmj
Any idea of the weight? I did ask about weight, and it will be close to stock weight. Thinner the fiberglass, the less durable. Or so I have been told.
kaze_v8
If anyone can replicate this hood, id buy it, no matter what the cost is!

1BAD2K
It seems like all these hood manufacturers keep doing the same styles over and over, just for different vehicles... I wish someone would offer something different like a heat extractor hood. I would definitely be in for that.
edgarss44
Looking forward to the 4in hood pics!

If I could get ahold of a ZL1 hood, they could do it. But I dont see that happening LOL
jddmj
New pictures added of the 4" cowl, the camaro style, and the spoiler.
Xtremeta38
Nice concepts. I've always liked the tapered cowls on the S10. Wonder what that would look like on the SS. Props to all involved in resurrecting this thing. Wish I had some spare change lying around. Lol

But I dont see that happening LOL Why not just mold this instead of buying an entire ZL1 hood? http://www.phastekperformance.com/2010-2011-Camaro-ACS-ZL1-Replica-Hood-Insert-p/ACS-CAMARO-ZL1-INSERT-V6-SS.htm

But the cost of the part, and then getting the mold made, nobody would be interested in the hood. If someone wants to buy it, and have it cut into their hood when its made, we can do that. SSmoothSilSS
Will the rear spoilers be a one piece?
1BAD2K
Those hoods look pretty good, but if he could make something like this, I would be in for sure. Even at a higher cost.
