I've been driving lately and I've noticed there's a weird noise whenever I step on the break pedal. I don't hear any squeaking from the break pads so I've come to the conclusion it's my break hardware kit. I just want to verify and confirm that's the case before I start messing with my break calipers. Please let me know your opinion and thanks in advance. Can you get the noise if you step on the brake pedal with the truck parked? (Is the noise inside the cab)? Are you sure that the noise is coming from the brake system, or could it be something else moving when you hit the brakes? I would think about getting all tires off the ground and having a buddy put it in gear and mash the brake pedal off and on while you listen for noise outside the truck. Good luck. Any vibrations?The noise is a shudder and it vibrates when it comes to a complete stop. However when it stops I mess with brakes it doesn't make the noise nor does it shake or vibrate the brake pedal. Let us know what you figure out. Brake hardware kit are the metal brackets that hold the brake pads within the caliper frame. No the noise is only when the truck is running and I come to a stop. It doesn't make the noise when I'm parked/stop. I spoke to a couple of buddies of mine and they mentioned warped rotors. So I'm going to give that a shot.
