Will a 4l60 ever hold up behind a 408 stroker

Recommended Posts

Been having tranny problems ever since I built motor! 2003 AWD SS putting down 430 rwhp! Keeps knocking out pump and tranny has been built with billet hub, corvette servo , Borg internals , 3400 yank SS series converter, sfi flex plate! What can I do or do I need to do a 80 swap!

Why keep wasting money on 60's? You could get an 80, do a mild build with dual feed mod and run a trucool 40k cooler and be done lol. I'm make upper 400's at the wheels for now, and my 80e doesn't even flinch lol.

I have a 4L60E behind a 408 for about 30K miles before it finally took the pump out. Swapping to an 80e is the best route.

For the 4L80E swap, you need a new input gear for the transfer case (contact me, I have them), the 4L80E, modified trans crossmember, small wiring harness change, and a segment swap on your tune.
