I have been reading y'alls threads on the volant sytem and here is what I have done...I have the old system for the 5.3. I have replaced the junk volant filter with a k&n model that looks better and flows better. I now run it without the lid to flow more air and I decided to cut the "bladder" looking thing on the bottom of the intake tube off and patch it, then smother it in electrical tape to prevent leaks. So far I am very happy. It actually sounds like it has an intake on it now and pulling out of second gear at WOT is amazing compared to before. Haven't been to the track yet so I don't know if I have seen any real gains yet...will post soon.
