RacerJJ Posted November 5, 2004 Report Share Posted November 5, 2004 I have been reading y'alls threads on the volant sytem and here is what I have done...I have the old system for the 5.3. I have replaced the junk volant filter with a k&n model that looks better and flows better. I now run it without the lid to flow more air and I decided to cut the "bladder" looking thing on the bottom of the intake tube off and patch it, then smother it in electrical tape to prevent leaks. So far I am very happy. It actually sounds like it has an intake on it now and pulling out of second gear at WOT is amazing compared to before.
