KingRich
I've had my ss for about a week and am thinking of doing a muffler delete with the stock exhaust until I can afford a full exhaust system. I have looked on the forums but haven't been able to find anything about how this effects preformance, does anybody have any idea? Eventually would like to intake and tune before the full exhaust, thanks for the help!
Thickcajun
I think you'd be wasting your time, not to mention it would probably sound like shit... Any muffler shop shouldn't charge you more than a couple hundred for a new muffler and install...As for the tune these trucks come pretty detuned from the factory and will wake up. Its amazing what tweaking the transmission a little will do... Good luck..

JC03SS
If it were me I'd do a full custom exhaust from headers to to tips. Will be a little pricey but you can put everything you want on it.
