Downeast Johnny
My first guess would be to suspect a faulty oil pressure sending unit. They run between $27 and $36 at Rock Auto. A little expensive to buy on a guess. You could take it to a shop and ask them to temporarily hook up a mechanical gauge and check it for you. They will probably charge more than $35 to do that but it will tell you what you need to know.
jsanders347
I'd bet a bad oil sending unit as well. You'll need a special socket to change it too. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
03SSBoy
To make sure its the sending unit. Turn on your truck but KOEO and if its at 80psi then it is that. that's how I figured out that mine is bad

I read somewhere it could also be the stepper motor on the gauge itself.
DrLove38
Mine was stepper motor. First time I've had any gauge problem.
