chuckwagon423
Was this factory installed or done after the fact? It has the 2wd 4wd and awd button......
TPeerson
As far as I know, all 2003 Silverado SS' have AWD. Maybe yours is a "clone"? You can check and verify with the VIN#
chuckwagon423
Where is the best place to verify the VIN? 2GCEK19N631318850 Edited February 9, 2021 by chuckwagon423 (see edit history)
Rays B4U
Try decodethis.com, your vin comes back as an SS. 03 SSS's were AWD only, so you might have a converted one. chuckwagon423
That is what I am wondering, it does have a rebuilt title, but whoever fixed it did a fantastic job. I would figure that maybe if the damage was that bad they went ahead and swapped it.
someotherguy
Doesn't take much damage to total a modern vehicle and end up with a rebuilt title. Mine's got one due to a rear end crash that left the truck 100% driveable other than needing a taillight to be legal. Is the switch functional? Or just possibly an inactive switch that came with a replacement dash bezel.. Richard
chuckwagon423
You are definitely correct, yes the switch is functional and it does go into 4lo
