  1. I wouldn't want someone to recover my truck once it's stolen......I would rather not have it stolen at all. That's why having a LoJack sign would deter thieves. BTW, you got any LoJack cards you can send me
  2. Yes thieves can find the device and disable it.....but I believe thieves will think a little harder before taking the car with LoJack (possibly) installed. They don't want to get caught while driving away with the car, even before they had a chance to look for the Lojack device.
  3. I don't have an aftermarket alarm on my truck, I was thinking the stock security system is good enough right? If a crook can bypass the stock alarm, he can most definately by pass an aftermarket alarm. So what's the purpose of getting those aftermarkets if they are no better? Waste of money or not? My friend uses a LoJack business card to deter thieves. Has the big LoJack logo printed on the card. He leaves the card in plain sight where thieves can see it when they look in his window. Makes them think twice about taking his truck....and it's a freebie from the business that sell the LoJack, just ask for their card!
  4. more pics please.......maybe with a little more lighting. thanks Ask and you shall receive Hope those help.... let me know if there is any specific thing you need close up of. Theres no stains, tears, or anything. My son thought it was hillarious his dad was running around turning all the lights on and taking pictures of the couch I've got a 2 month old girl....just as cute (maybe cuter) than your boy there! Neat baby chair, bolsters the little guy in....where did you get it? Back to the couch......are the cushions loose or are they stitched/sewn onto the frame?
  5. You need to ground the antenna. Run a wire from the Antenna, back to the Antenna base. I just used a regular screw for the base, and a quick soder on the Antenna. Once Grounded, you'll have everything back. I've gotta try that grounding thing....thanks for the tip
  6. Just got mine replaced yesterday, and I'm at 60K miles. No charge. It's nice and quiet now. If you think Toyota is without problems then you're in for a rude awakening. Just read you work in a dealership.....I guess that helps in getting replacements for free
  7. Just got mine replaced yesterday, and I'm at 60K miles. No charge. It's nice and quiet now. If you think Toyota is without problems then you're in for a rude awakening. How did you get your done for free at 60K miles? What did you say to them.....give us the low down
  8. My Tahoe has 82,000 miles and the brakes are only half worn (if that). These brake pads last a long time if you're not always on the brakes.
  9. 30k is a bit early for rotor replacement. there is a brake pad indicator letting you know the pads are low right? Shouldn't really wear down to the rotor. Anyways, I know it's a wear item and shouldn't be covered under warranty.....but it never hurt to try and complain to the dealer about it. You just might get them to replace it for ya.
  10. more pics please.......maybe with a little more lighting. thanks
  11. I also did my antenna delete, but one thing I lost was all my AM stations. All the sports talk gone......Anybody know a cleaver way to get those back?
  12. there is a very helpful "ask a tech" section at gm-trucks.com. ask your question there and a gm tech will help you out
  13. I need a new couch but I'm not sure my wife would go for $350. The fabric looks a bit redish.....is it red or black?
  14. Why are ads on my poast?? you got owned by google! do a search on the off topic section...there is a how to on getting rid of google ads.
  15. sounds like your 05 is still under warranty. Remove everything and put it back to stock.....let them fix it for you
  16. This was originally posted June 2006, I seriously doubt this is still available.
  17. I'm surprise this is something new you've experience, I have had numerous transactions on ebay that just "end because it's no longer available". It's an option ebay gives the sellers......that's why it's used so often.
  18. I believe if anything should be requested, it should be requested that GM does a VOLUNTARY recall on this problem. Since there are so many of these vehicles out there and maybe only a fraction of people that are complaining about this. Shouldn't GM just offer a voluntary recall? It's not mandatory because it's really not a safety issue. But for the customers that keep noticing the problem, it should be done free as a voluntary recall...... Toyota had a voluntary recall with the FJ cruiser tires. Not everyone got free replacements, just the ones that opted to bring it into the dealer......just my 2 cents.
