  1. This is an intresting post because I just reciently came to the conclusion that I don't want to drink anymore. As everyone else said use your support system, your fam. girl, and close friends that understand what you are trying to do. A couple of things that I was thinking about that helped me make my decision, 1. I was spending too much money on it. 2. I noticed that it started having a negative effect on me and my loved ones. 3. I accidently hit one of my friends in the eye, and sent him to the hospital. Like everyone else said visualize why you don't want to drink keep a picture of your girl and your truck on you where your money goes, that way when you go to buy a drink you can see them. To take your mind off drinking start doing some leasure activities, like working out, running, golfing, washing your truck. Idle hands are the devils workshop.... We are all here for you, and we understand what you are going through. -Lance
  2. wow, I hope and pray all turns out for the best. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. -Lance
  3. As stated thoughts and prayers with all those who were lost, and their families. Thank you all who serve our country, and will continue to serve no matter what dumba$$ says it's nonsense. That day is still unreal I can only pray that it never happens to anyone again..... Thank god for the brave men and women that serve to make sure that it doesn't happen again not only in our country, but all the free nations in the world.... -Lance
  4. good luck, have a safe and fun semester. -Lance
  5. I have an 07 SSS and would be very intrested in a hood, If you would keep me updated. Thanks -Lance
  6. My truck and I are old pals, I have so much fun with it. If you take care of your truck it should last a long time. Some of the problems that I have heard of is the steering column thing, with mods the trans going out. I bought an 07 so I didn't have an option for AWD, if I did have an option I would have opted for the AWD just because it gets off the line a little better, and to drop a boat would be nice to have the AWD. Like Fireman said the search fuction is amazing and a key to almost all the information you need or want to know. -Lance
  7. sorry about the break in 3 weeks after I got my truck some a$$ broke into my truck the police caught him and said that he wasn't going to get anything because he was a minor..... He has been arrested before for breaking into cars and for highjacking, they were right nothing happened to him, when he was released from jail one of my co-worker's cars got broken into the day after I got word that he was released. It sucks but at least you can easily replace the items that were stolen. -Lance

  12. hey hey let's not start wishing for $5 a gallon for Fl ..... I am completly tired of the gas prices changing, like stated above the prices are bad enought without changing every day, it's a crap shoot to buy gas (you think to yourself if I buy it today is it going to be cheaper tomorrow, or more expensive). There are several different things that the government/the people could do to change the price of gas, but nothing to going to change, because we all are not going to change how we use gas. As long as the customers are there the oil companies are going to keep doing this. I know I will never sell my SSS, and in that I know that I will be F-ed in the A by the oil companies . Yeah we could drill in the gulf off the coast of FL, we could drill in the preserve in Alaska; but it's not going to help if they don't update or build new refineries. We could have as much crude oil as we want, but it takes those refineries to give us our gas. -Lance
  13. possibly intrested would need to see pics -Lance
  14. I'm with everyone here it's the sec. responsibility to keep her dog contained, either on a leash or fenced yard. I would def. be upset for loosing my dog, but it's not the driver's fault that the dog ran in front of her car while driving on the street going the speed limit. It would be the other way around if the dog was on the sidewalk and the driver drove onto the sidewalk to hit the dog. I feel for your sec. for her loss, and I am sure it was tramatic to see your dog get hit right in front of you, and die in your arms on the way to the vet; You live and learn I have had a dog younger get loose and luckly not get hit, ever since then any dog I have gets a harness (it is harder for them to wiggle out of and not as much pressure on there neck). With thoughts and prayers, -Lance
  15. Thanks for the reply , Your front brakes do look nice . I may just do the fronts and hang out for a while until I really get sick of the drums in the rear. When I bought my truck new they had the weights on the outside also did you ever get the dealer to switch it? Thanks, -Lance
  16. That is a horrible event.... my thought and prayers are with the family.... -Lance
  17. I was sitting outside the other day and I was looking at my SSS; the thought came can I change the rear drum brakes to disc. So basically the subject line says it all, but a couple of questions about it. 1) Do I want to even attempt this. 2) Is it possible? 3) What are the big disadvantages, if any? 4) Would it be insane expensive? Just a couple of things that I was thinking about, because I like the look of the disc brakes, and I think with the type of wheels that we have the drums look like s&*t. Thanks, -Lance
