  1. From what I've heard you have to buy two EC cladding and chop one of them up and add to the other one just to make it long enough. I've only seen one picture of a truck and that's what the guy said he did. I really wanna know if there's a set out there that we can buy though! Anybody??
  2. Trick turbo has a Layaway plan if your interested...I like S/C but turbo's are funner!!!
  3. Lol, guy sounds like he belongs in a HONDA!!! Nice kill!!
  4. Leave the SS there because if you flop it the whole "art" part of the tailgate will be unbalanced. The driver's side will have the SS and the picture. Looks good IMO.

    Ram SRT-10

That's alot of laughing gas to be inhaling in any engine!!!
  6. Just tell them you wanted to be different. I can't imagine it took 6 damn months for that to happen though. geeez
  7. Lol, I would of loved to of been there to see the look on his face...OHhhhhh SHIT... I think it would be a good run between a stock S/C 02-03 HD and a SS. Might come down to driver mod. I raced a S/C HD on the freeway and barely pulled him and I'm running a turbo...so I'd say best of luck!

Cool, thanks for the clear up, I didn't know that. Here I was assuming that they were all supercharged, I guess that would make that particular year really desirable!!

Harley Davidson's are supercharged...how did you beat one? I see the mods in your sig but is that enough to smoke one? I had a hard time pulling away from one on the freeway and I'm turbocharged. Then again he might of been packing a little more than stock S/C.
  10. As far as the cable lock that's up to you and the neihborhood you live in and your neihbors. I agree with californiacarcover's magazines being addictive. Make sure you click on NO when they ask if you want their subsciption. Lol I had one for my Typhoon and it worked great! My buddy actually just bought one for his Dodge Ram and he loves it too. I will mention that after 4 or 5 years they will begin to break down and will leave a small powder on your truck which will be brushed off easily but it's a sign you need to get a new one because it's protection from harmful UV rays that affect your paint is deteriorating and no longer working. I don't know what the life of a car cover is used under a car port. Hope this helps.
  11. Also try californiacarcover.com. From what I've heard they are one of the best out there.
  12. I'm surprised you kept up with him too. I thought your SS was stock and aren't those twin turbo'd v-8's?? That had to be fun though!! You racing the car that is, not your girl screaming!!! I would of thought she was used to it by now!
  13. Will do bro, I'm widening them to 12" so I can fit some 335 back there. I couldn't find any wider tires that can fit 20" rims. The ones I did find ended up being porche tires!
  14. If another thread is started with a poll or a sign up list make sure you let us know on here in case we miss the new thread.
  15. Bless you. Hope you don't come down with anything before the GTG.
  16. Mid to upper RPM's for highway rolls and passing. Too hard to find traction down low on the street anyways.
  17. You should of asked her if she wanted a ride?? Lol!!! Was the guy a dick or was he pretty cool? Woulda been nice if he was serious about it!
  18. Thanks Krambo, I'm still on the fence as to if I should widen my rims now or later. I'd like to PC them now and widen them later but not sure if PC will make the widening harder later. It's possible that the guy I spoke with was referring to the weld or band that he adds in order to widen the rim, maybe that's what he says gets weaker. Not sure. Were yours painted or PC'ed?
  19. How bout a off-breed Sierra SS?? Lol I'm down to go too, I'm 15 min away (depending on traffic) I know that rock store too, that's where I bought my first bike, Jay leno hangs out there from time to time with his Jet bike. Is there a list going and and is it possible to get directions/addresses?
  20. A guy I spoke to about widening wheels also mentioned that if you want to color match your rims you should look into getting them painted and not powdercoated. He said because of the extreme heat used in the powdercoating method that it weakens the rim. I don't know how accurate this information was but he seemed to be credible and worked on rims for a living anyways. Just a thought.
  21. Sorry about not replying guys, I need to update my control settings. I found a set from a member on here and they are on the way, thanks for all the reply's though. As far as the why not chrome question, It is possible but you either have to strip the chrome which is $$ or as you suggested blast it off. In either case it's not worth it when the some OEM rims are already paintable.
  22. Noooooooooo...that's what I function on ...what about our trucks?
  23. Ok now that this is all over and done with this made me think...one day we will have no more gas...period. And it will be in our lifetimes so, my question is; I plan on keeping my truck till the day I die so I can hand it off to my son. By that time we'll have no more gas so what else can these engine's run on when that time comes? Diesels are really simple to change over to Bio-diesel but these things changing over the ethanol and E-85 is a little more complex. Anything else out there to look forward to that can run with spark plugs and low compression...compared to diesel?
  24. I'm gonna be painting a pair at the end of the month. I bought them off a member on here Mr.P. (awesome guy to deal with). Pair I bought were OEM silver painted 20". I know through research that if you want to paint a chrome set of rims you have to strip the chrome off. You can just paint over it but it won't last long and it will end up looking bad. If you have a chrome set see if you can't trade someone with a painted set or look at getting them stripped which can get $$. If I remember I'll post picks of when I get them painted, they are gonna be black or maybe carbon metallic to match my truck but I'm not sure yet, still debating. Hope this helps. - J
