  1. yes you can but i wouldnt recommend it, if you have e fans and a low temp stat you have nothing to worry about :chevy:

I have the stock e-fans & stock temp stat. I'm thinking about going with a B&M Super Cooler & add a fan for the cooler it's self & put in a low temp stat. Just seems to me not running the lines through the radiator would make it cooler??

  2. Do you guys bypass the lines running into the radiator when you upgrade the trans cooler. Just run straight to the new bigger cooler? I would think bypassing the lines running throught the radiator would make it cooler than running them throught it & make installation a little easier. Would like to hear some opinions on this. Thanks Guys.

  3. I'll have a set in about 3 weeks. They are not perfect though. I am in Lagrange Ga not sure how far away you are but shipping is not an option for me. I can get pics if you are interested. I think I can sell them for about 700.00 2 good tires 2 not so good.

I'm pretty far from LaGrange. I'm in the northeast corner of the state, 100 miles north of Atlanta. I might be interested if they look good, no curb rash or alot of wheel weight marks on outer lip. I could come get them. Email me some pictures at [email protected] when you get them. Thanks.

  4. sorry its the 44#ers that will directly swap in top stock harness. the marine injectors are a litle bigger than 42, if i remeber correctly they are 43.5#ers

12'SROCK, I'm a little confused?? Where do the 44#ers come from? Is that what I need & not the 42#ers?? I can get the 8.1 liter marine injectors easy. I'm in the marine service business & a dealer for Indmar marine engines who marineize the 8.1 big block. Thanks.

  5. yes your gonna need more fuel for the added incoming air that the cam provides

12'SROCK, What size are the stock injectors? I see in your signature you have 42lb injectors. Did you use the 42lb marine injectors?

Do you have a part number for them?

I'm glad I asked because I wasn't sure about having to change the injectors. Thanks.

  6. I had thought asbout using the GMPP P/N 12480033 LS Hot Cam Kit. The kit comes with LS6 springs & retainers. Had also thought about the GMPP LS ASA Cam P/N 12480110 that also uses LS6 springs & retainers, but dosen't come with it. The LS Hot Cam is .525 lift at the valve, duration of .219 intake/.228 exhaust & the ASA Cam is .525 lift at the valve, duration of .226 intake/.236 exhaust. Both use the stock 1.7 ratio rocker. The Hot Cam has a 112 LSA & the ASA cam a 110 LSA. Has anyone run or heard of anyone running a 110 LSA cam?? What do you guys think about these two cams? Thanks.

  8. You can disreguard my message below. I looked back at the first post of the "Amplifier/Sub Installation" thread in the "How To" section & found what I need. The PAC #AOEM-GM24 adaptor. Makes it super easy.

I'm wanting to add a JL Audio amp & two 12" JL subs to my factory Bose system. My questions are, which wire do I tap into for the remote turn on lead for the amp & can I tap the rear speaker leads at the speakers inside the rear doors for the speaker input signal or should I tap at the head unit? How many of you guys have your amp mounted behind the rear seat? All of you? What's the best way to mount it behind the seat? Thanks.

  9. Is anyone doing any upgrades to the drivelines of the SS's? Like going to a one piece driveshaft on the 2wd trucks & using stronger trans yokes & u-joints? Anyone put in a Bowler 550 ftlb package built 4L65E or swaping the 4L65E for a built 4L80E or 6L80E? Would a 6L80E work better with a rearend gear change to a 4.11 or 4.56? My truck is geared 3.73. What is the 6L80E used in? What about rearend upgrades, whats being done there?

The reason I'm asking all this is. My dad is on to me about I'm going to tear something up with the way I drive my truck. Ok, I'll admit I drive it pretty hard, but I don't think I abuse it. I've got a heavy foot when it comes to burnouts. I'd like to take it to the dragstrip some & he says I'm going to tear it up there. My mods are in my signature. How much stuff gets tore up or is weak in the SS's. Thanks Guys.

  10. Let me know what you think about it with the new surface. I hope it hooks good now, cause its only about 1 hour from my house. The other 2 tracks I usually go to are 2.5-3 hours away.

I'm going on the 7th of March which is the first Yearone Fast Friday. I'm an hour from the track too. Where are you located? I'm in the most northeastern corner of Georgia.

  11. I've went to Commerce a few times, But I'll never go back. Thats by far the worst track I"ve EVER been to. You'd think with the huge crowds they draw in that they could spend a couple of bucks and keep the track in decent condition.

They did alot of work to the track this winter, so it's alot better than it was. You can read about it at http://www.atlantadragway.com
