Thanks Guys. After some driving the next day I was steady in the 190 range. I guess I need a larger cooler. Just finished installing a new radix this weekend and it looks like another mod is needed. Will I have any problem fitting the larger B&M coller behind the radix intercooler?

I'm about 80% finished with a new Radix install. Two questions: 1. I have reconnected all of the electrical connections, but can't figure out where one goes. I can't seem to identify it even when I retrack the disconnects either. It is not the throttle control, MAP Sensor, MAF Sensor, Knock Sensor or EVAP solenoid. It comes out of the harness near the EVAP solenoid (drivers side near the fuel rails). It is a black connector with an orange gasket. Any idea what this is or where it goes? I can't figure it out for the life of me. 2. How does anyone properly torque the the bolt for the manifold assembly closest to the fire wall on the passenger side. I really am having a tough time getting a wrench on it. Do I need a special socket extension or adaptor? It is almost totallt blocked by the throttle body inlet to the blower. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Its hot out, maybe 95. But it still running mucher higher than before. I guess the question is, is it normal for the temp to increase with these mods or would you suspect a problem? Thanks for the quick reply

Just got a TBTC and Zippy shift kit installed and noticed that my tranny temp is reading 205 or so. I was running 160ish before the work. Should I be concerned?

Thanks all. Decided to just go to the spoiler. Wanted to go over for more protection, but I'll just have to repaint and touch up.

I don't have a line-x dealer close to me so I am going with rhino. I am doing an over the rail application, but was told rhino will not adhere to plastic. So either the spoiler goes or I just rhino up to it. Does anyone know whether rhino will adhere to the spoiler because I believe I saw it on another SS?

I painted the center cover blue with silver accents and the side covers silver and then clear coated everything. It came out great and was very easy. One tip if you plan to use a separate color to accent the ridges and letters on the center cover, I used a silver sharpie and it covered and looks good and was much easier than trying to tape it or hand paint it. Looks just like paint after it is clear coated. Saves a lot of time and headache.

I just wanted to say thank you to those that gave me some advice on this forum, WODY, Mr. P. and others. I bought a 03 SSS in early May and based on your suggestions have modified it by adding a Volant CAI, Magnaflow exhaust and Wheatley tune. I loved it before, but it is even better now. Thanks for the suggestions and for all the advice on this forum. A thanks to Zippy also, who I believe runs this forum. Next money I spend on the "truck" will go to supporting this forum and then who knows, but it is a bit addicting when you see the performance improvements. Thoughts anyone on next steps ... I am thinking about beefing up the tranny and then on to headers and a new cam.

Anyone interested in a set of original 03 SS wheels and goodyear tires? Rims are in very good condition and tires probably have another 10k left in them. I am in Rochester NY. Willing to make a reasonable deal.

Both the volant and outlaw seem to be a bit more expensive than others, K&N for example. Is the extra $100 worth it.

Can a novice install a complete exhaust? The intake looks easy.

I just bought a stock 03 SS and want to add horsepower. How is the first $1,500 best spent in modifications. I am not a mechanic, but reasonably handy. I suspect I may need to pay a shop to do most complicated modifications. Thoughts? Specific suggestions would be greatly appreciated. BTW - This is a great truck stock.
