  1. Nope everything was fine. Did a spring tune up everything was in working order. On the back roads coming home from work. Smelled something thought it was the truck in front of me. Pulled over nothing no leaks nothing. Got back on the road looked to my left and my cab had smoke in it. Tried to back into my driveway and the truck wouldn't move. Called the tow truck and he hauled it away. He overhauled it and it was as good as new.
  2. ^^^^ I know crazy right!!! And let me tell the smell of that burnt oil!! Wow it doesn't go away for a while.
  3. My truck had a little over a 100k on stock never beat on it. Driving home one day it blew up. No reason no prior sounds or warning signs. My mechanic said it was the worst he had every seen Plus check out all the threads on this website about the issue. It might not be the first weakest link but it's a close second.
  4. Lol. It needs its own garage!! How's your SS doing. Any videos.
  5. No the rc is sold The body is still up for grabs. I have a custom CNC frame for it along with some bead locks if you want a lifted sss? Of course the price will go up!
  6. I would have to say that it wouldn't. Your not "lifting it" like someone told you to do. A leveling kit would work I guess? Might want to check out a lifted Chevy site to see what would be best. I would have to say a 2.5 inch leveling kit? It shouldn't hurt your awd system. However the awd in these trucks are the weakest link along with the transmissions. Also understand that when you add a lift and then bigger tires you do tend to put more wear on other parts. But your not going to tall.
  7. Why not look into bigger torsion keys and some helper bags for the rear. Or maybe a taller block in the rear?
  8. Those came out right around the time the intimidator Ss came out. There were mostly sold at Walmart along with some other cars. They also sold a huge version.
  9. Why not just ask around and SS if anyone has the oem factory parts that they removed to then lower there ss. Your just look to go back to stock night not lift it right.
  10. Sale pending on the original The copies of the original are still up for grabs I only have a few
  11. Not sure if this helps but on my stock ss the torsion bar bushings were shot. I used to get a bad clunking right under my feet. Had to grind the rivets out and install the new bushings and bolts.
  12. Going threw a few boxes I found this Iss truck and a Jesse James body. This is out of the box and would look great as a display piece. It comes with a charger a battery and the remote. The problem is its the wrong remote. The truck is missing the front lower bumper and a few stickers. The body is in ok shape. It has some scratches and dings. I gave it a quick detail to shine it up a bit. Looking for. 100 shipped! Next up is a Jesse James body. Looks good all the wires are there as well as the lights. I bought this body for an rc project and well I never did anything with it. Hows $55 shipped. I except papal. I can budge a little on the prices but not to much. Please no negative comments. I will keep these on the site for a bit then there off to eBay.. Thanks guys.
  13. Did you clean the throttle body at all. Check the plug wires? Also did you throw in a new fuel filter? Just some ideas
  14. ^^^ lol. I would love some one to park next to him or just get next to him with a real SS. Then see what he says.
  15. Look at the dynomax x flow. Or even just a stock one.
  16. What's a cratch on the tailgate. Is that new lingo for something. Ooohh and Crome wheels must be rare.
  17. Hmmm going to get interesting. Also if you went threw 5 transmission from the same builder wouldn't you contact the builder at some point rather then bash him in someone post. Also 5 transmissions. Wow!!
  18. Wow yeah. That will be a nice feeling. How's the rockets and underside of the doors?!
  19. Chrome or something other then black.
