Im going to the dealer next week to have the Nav installed along with my stainless side steps... buuuut I wanna take a look at a truck with a sunroof already in it, to see if i like it... Thanks everyone, for the replies.

well i talked to the dealer, and they said although it opens up all the way, it doesnt retract INTO the roof, it pops up out of the roof at an angle.. (you guys were right..) but it DOES open up all the way.. bleh. I told him I was gonna hold off on the sunroof install and just stick with my chrome side steps and the navigation. If I decide i DONT want the sunroof, they just refund my money.. which is pretty cool.. so Im not obligated. I like that.

what kind of decals are you looking for?? i think mine would retract into the roof too.. (if i did the aftermarket install)

when i bought my truck this weekend, the dealer made it sound like installing a sunroof was as easy as 'taking off the roof panel and replacing it'.... for $1100. It would be covered under warranty like anything else... Ive always been super skeptical of an aftermarket sunroof, as.. well.. its not factory and it may affect the structural integrity of the vehicle.. Sooooo what do you guys know about installing a sunroof on this truck?? Is it as simple as they make it sound?? Thanks!!

its a 2007 Silverado 1500 with the Vortec Max engine.. not the classic.. I was adamant about NOT getting the classic style. Hes the newest style. yep. you are correct. I was going to get the 4WD but the dealership that had it had loaned the truck to some radio personality who put 700 miles on it for some Chevy marketing thing... they wouldnt drop the price any, so I told them I wasnt interested... hell, I had no idea how that engine was treated during those 700 miles... i wouldve been buying a used truck that had never been registered (at a NEW price) noooo thank you.

its a 6.0, yes. thanks Hes a bit modded.. not much though.. took off all the extra plastics, the fenders and whatnot, installed integrated tail lights, changed out the windscreen, installed the micron high mount.. thats awesome bout yours.. we go to Jennings a lot (www.jenningsgp.com) to run the bikes.. its up in northern florida.. I know its not exactly an LS2 but quite similar to it.. its the iron block and not the aluminum block.. but is it the LQ4? LQ9? L76?? Ive read online all sorts of stuff.. Im not at home right now (im at my parents across the state) and cant look on the door for the codes.. but what is the engine code for the Vortec Max 6.0?? (2007..) thanks.. I hate not knowing exactly.. and ive found conflicting info everywhere..
