  1. ...Didn't really pay attention to it although I got gas in the SSS today for $2.95/gal. That struck me as high although I haven't gassed up the truck in over a month.
  2. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the Granetelli the same diameter as the stocker,...just de-screened? That is why I initially suggested the 100MM Lingenfelter.
  3. Waste of money. I am sure others will chime in.
  4. ...How about trying the 100MM MAF from Lingenfelter and letting us know the results You must be maxing the stocker out all the time, did you rescale your MAF tables or are you doing a SD tune?
  5. You had a beautiful truck! I respect your decision and hope the new owner joins us here. You are going to stick around right?
  6. Do you know the "Dirty Dozen"? I am a regular in the Tug Hill area and have been through Lowville many a times. I have family who have a ton of property in the Altmar area and usually stay there. That is why I take the 7 mile cruise over the Salmon River Reservior to get to the Hill. I frequent Timberview, FlatRock etc. If you stop in to Timberview, ask for Keith Horn and tell him that the Bangor PA guys said this was a good place to hang out.
  7. We need the MultecII adaptor to the EV1 (or whatever). These seem to be an LS2 to Bosch style adaptor right? The LS2 injectors are different than ours UNLESS you have the Flex-Fuel type and they seem to be the same at the LS2's. The only place I was aware that was working on an adaptor was Caspers. If so, they should be out...need to make a phone call. Caspers Link Anyone else have any info
  8. I did it on radar at Salmon River Reservior in NY. They are very unstable at those speeds. I had 196 pics with 14 inch carbides on the front. I have seen numerous sldes top out over 130. It will take time and distance to get to 130 (if the sled had the HP) but a stock stance can and will do it. The new Mach Z is just about capable of 130 out of the box under the right conditions. Don't get me wrong, the wind at those speeds does lift the front and makes it difficult to control. As I stated, I got kicked off at 110 and lived to tell about it. Why is that hard to believe?
  9. As long as you are not going lean from your commanded AFR you are O.K. HOWEVER an injector swap is suggested at this point. Most people suggest swapping injectors when IDC's are over 80%. If you should do any more mods, have a hic-up with fuel pressure or just have a real good air day you run the risk of going lean. As for plug and play with injectors over the 42#rs,...not that I am aware of. I still can't believe NO COMPANY has invested the time to make a set of adaptors. There are some nice splice-in connectors out there and there are obviously a ton of injectors that will flow more than your 42#rs just none that will be a direct swap. Correct me if I am wrong anybody as I would love to see a direct swap wire harness for the motron 60's or the SVO 42#rs.
  10. Easy mistake. I have been to 130+ on a sled and actually crashed at 110. I broke 4 vertebrae in my back and bruised all over. Be careful, they are as dangerous as bikes. FWIW, the NOS brand nitrous kit works wonders for getting the sled to 130 easy. I had an 02 XCSP 800 (piped, clutched, studded, reeds, boost bottle, higher compression heads, ported and polished everything and a 40 shot of N2O. It hauled ass. Never topped it out but I saw 130+ at the lakes on radar. Now, I will take a snotty 600 that is geared down and will not break 90.
  11. I know it is last minute but i plan on going to Island dragway this Friday 4/6 for some fun in the street legal drags. As many of you know, the track isn't the best around but sure is a good time. You can expect 30-40 laps if you really wanted. I want to break the 11 barier there and get my "certificate". The track is about 600ft above sea level and is old and not real conducive for great E.T.s but is always a good time. last time I told them I was going to run a 13.3 and they didn't even pop the hood in Tech. After the 12.04, they made me go through tech again and said to get a DS loop if I planned to be in the 11's. Hope to see some of you there!
  12. I would still suggest a nice sized stall or it will be a bear until it got into the upper RPMs. Stock stall would be garbage on that set-up.
  13. Dave, I got my first good laugh for the day after reading this
  14. ...Just wanted to chime in on this. If it is a classy restaurant I can see it but most "establishments" these days are like TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays, Red Lobster etc. and the server takes your order and at best brings you your drinks. If you are lucky, maybe a stop back after someone else brings you your meal. 15% is generous. Hell most of the time I get the salad bar and serve myself. BTW, I was a server once, worked at McDonalds, mopped the floors at the local nursing home, and picked string beans on a 1,000 acre farm and when I got fed up, I looked elsewhere for a job. I think having jobs like that are essential so that you have an appreciation of what other people do once you are set in your career. I now manage operations for a small (200Mil) biotech company. if I won the lottery, I would be like Forest Gump and cut the lawn at the local middle school for free.
  15. Anyone want to go this Friday? I need someone to video me I'll buy ya dinner
  16. If you have the chance to make the bottom end bullit proof, have the parts...why wouldn't you?
  17. My truck has electrical "bugs" and when I swapped my tranny, I had the battery disconnected for 2 months. When it was all buttoned up, my radio wouldn't work, my heat/AC (electronic) wouldn't work and my memory seats were all out of wack and wouldn't hold the program. I took it for a test drive (about 10 miles) and at least 10 start-up cycles and wouldn't ya know it, it all cam back to normal. I think it has something to do with internal micro-batteries / caps that become fully discharged like mentioned above.
  18. Ha, no one will be as dirty as my truck will be. It currently has burned rubber on the front fenders and the rear fenders, white window numbers, and 6 months of dust and dirt on her from the winter. Hopefully I can at least wash her. My spring detailing is still 2 weeks away.
  19. What time is everyone going to be there?
  20. no rust and in top shape - $3500. little rust - $2500.
  21. I see you were running 12.8 - 13.42and having IDC's over 100. Were you commanding that lean or were you going lean at the top end (slope of death). FWIW, I run at a conservative 11.9 from 3k - 6500rpms. There is power to be gained running leaner but burning up a piston is not on the top of my list right now. You should be able to command a flat AFR curve which tell me you are running out of injector and going lean. I am running the 42#rs with meth and getting over 100% IDC. I also run FP in the low 60's which helps. I would deffinately suggest the 60# Motrons or even the 42# SVO's Nice #'s,...now get her to the track!
  22. God bless Texas for letting the population know there is no tolerance for violent crimes. Anyway, just about any food is good with me. If I had to choose and wasn't paying for it, a huge filet (medium) with blue cheese and an endless supply of king crab legs.
