Honestly the hood insulation isnt going to put out a fire if you have one under the hood. Out of all the car fires i have put out, the insulation didnt do anything. The only way it will properly work is if it didnt allow the fire to access oxygen. It wont stop fire.... Otherwise you can remove it, gently scrub it with a soft bruxh with water and simple green, spray paint it black, and get a stencil of whatever you want and paint the stencil on it.

A bad coil pack will throw the same code. The computer will tell you what cylinder is having the issue and thats the coil pack you need to replace. I just replaced 1 bad coil pack on 3 differnt cars for the same issue after doing the plug and wire change within the last few months.

Im selling my stock 2003 Sss hood. the hood is in great condition, no rust, no dents. Small rock chips here and there when you look really close. I will post up pics when the sun comes up. $175 A new hood from the average bodyshop gets it for a little over $200 plus whatever paint work. Will ship by Greyhound anywhere in the US. I agree, its the chameleon paint, like said it probably cost $15,000 to do, that paint is rare and extremly hard to work with. Besides the ugly chrome trim, the extra brake light on the bed cover, the scratch on the driverside quarter and the dent on the passenger quarter it looks nice. It also looks like the alternator has been replaced as well as the idler pulley.

I actually like the look of the black hood. Im a big fan of black hoods. I had a 91 camaro that was red and I had a 4 Inch cowl hood that I painted gloss black and left it.

I would look into getting a good alarm and setting the sensitivity fairly high. I would also look into getting Lojack. I had my 97 Camaro stolen a few years after I had it installed, I called the police told them I had Lojack and gave them the number off the unit. My car was found within 30 minutes, I got my car back and the thieves were arrested and had to pay for my broken window and column. Lojack is a location and GPS device and only you and the Lojack installer know where the unit is mounted. Once you call the vehicle in stolen and you have the system activated your car will be found or Lojack will refund your money back.... I agree with going with the NGK TR5 plugs.... I run NGK in all of my chevys and they never let me down. Just make sure to gap them in at 50 to 55 thousands.
