well to be honest that would probly be right..at 30ish % i was just guessing for the sake of the debate.. being that the case im even farther away..lol.. i just dont get it

well i guess im just throw off alil by something and im trying to understand.. heres another thing that confuced me.. i understand its a bit of bench racing.. but like i said its just my curious side. take for example the 1/4 or horse power calulators.. i know there not exact.. but from my experice there it the ball park but the numbers dont jiv at all or my trucks really down on power...they say for my truck to run what it did it would need 590 rwhp..( there a hundred diff once i just give this one as on example http://www.race-cars.net/calculators/et_calculator.html ) but hp tuners says i make 584 and thats torque at the crank so the hp is probly 550 560 ish not really sure.. and so if i figure 25% drive trainloss.. that means only 438 at the tires.. so im i really 140+ hp short??

intersting.....that makes alot of sence.. im still catching on to the tuning im used to tunning with a screwdriver on a carb..haha hmm well i guess its not making as much power as i thought then.. from what ive seen most of the trucks then were running low 12 to high 11s were in the 600 ballpark..and unless my hp is alot higher then my torque which is normal not the case im not as close as i thought. or i read other peoples numbers wrong i wish i knew what it was makin before the old motor poped..that one went 12.300 at 111.. and i add a cam and injectors .. hope i didnt slow it down.. haha

i thought i would get shot by everyone on here if i pulled the front shaft........ what did your gibbs truck make for torque? u made 542hp....sence were both runnin your top secret cam..

well.. i finaly got my truck tuned ( thanks again to zippy for coming down to do it ) truck really pulls hard i thought it pulled hard before..... anyways ive while he was tuning it.. hptuners gives out an est torque number..mine was 584 ..woohoo ... i was just curious if anyone knows how accurite those numbers are. and if anyone else had put down anything simular.. so i could get an idea of my hp numbers also.. i guess im just more curious then anything..the only thing that really matters is what it does in the 1/4

ya that was my plan.. i was gonna try clearin the headlights.. but it was nice out and i didnt wanna have the truck down..for a day or too... not really sure how to do it.. so i figured it would take me awhile... and im not sure what to do with the tails..i was thinkin about tinting them.. or sellin them and gettin the leds ones that look like the cadilac tail.

thank i like different...aslong as its still good... to be honest i didnt want a red ss..but i couldnt turn down the deal ..i wanted a black one so i could murder it out..but the red has grown on me.. i just have to personalize it..haha... i guess murdered out with some red blood is the theme..haha jk im thinkin about addin some carbon fiber ... maybe a bowtie .. not sure if anyone makes a SS badge..thinkin about clearin the headlights or maybe tinting them also to clean it up alil...then its easy to carry it threw out the engine bay and interior... anyways just more ideas

got my new wheels on today..im pretty excited. i think it looks alot better.. really pulls the truck together imo. and ive always wanted a wheel with a lip deep lip on them and these have a 4in stainless lip. so i guess that should do. ..probly a few more thing i need to do.. i like the darker look so im slowly headed that way.. hell im just happy its got a motor and i can drive it old wheels new wheels ( sorry i know there crapy cell phone pics but you will get the idea ) i guess they guys at the tire shop liked it too cause this is how they had it parked out on display when i came to pick her up

yes isnt it great..haha i just dont know how much im running my c2 boost gauge isnt workin for some reason as soon as i turn the key ( even just to acc) it sweeps and pegs out . i just picked up a silver faced manual autometer boost gauge im gonna go hook up in a min ..just pissed it doesnt match but i think they stoped making the c2

well i was over at my buddys shop lookin at new wheels.. and there was a guy cleanin his new silver vette at the car wash..i guess he was there for like 3 hours..lol anyways i walk out to my truck and i notice hes leavin also.. he pulls out right in front of me and jumps on it. so i try to get up next to him and as luck would have it he caught the next red light . light turns green we roll of.. i didnt wanna punch it and look like an ass if he didnt go..but i start to easy in to it and he stays right with me . we both hammer it before we get though the intersection haha and i but a car lenght on him right of the bat, then ended up beatin him by around 2 lengths total by right around 3rd gear ..i was very happy to say the least.. he made sure to get back up next to me right before he turned to give me a very suprized look but with a smile and a BIG thumbs up threw the teetops Im just glad it wasnt a new zo6 i think it might have been a diff story haha

ya there sick for sure...some one around here has a supercharged one but im not sure if that was it or not.. il put the word out around here.. so i should here something on that cars mods tonight... for me radix 2.9 pulley custom ground cam..prc double springs with ti retainers..svo green top injectors zippy tune and hd shift kit 2 washers pi converter..there the basics..lol... truck went 12.300 at 111 before the cam and before the injectors.. but havnet tuned yet for the cam and injectors so i know the tune isnt right

was on my way to get lunch to day and saw an black on black wheels new M5.. so i couldnt help my self to get up and check it out . so i moved threw trafic and got up next to him and he slowed down as i got next to him and he droped back about 1 car length and i had started to slow down to get lined up.. and he was at my rear bumper and out of no where he hit it!..so he got a roll on me being i was still slowing down.. so i hit it and hes about a car'ish on me.. i stated to real him in alil..but by then we were 90ish and i havent got my tune yet so i figured i better back out and be safe.. which he had just grabed another gear and really shot forward so im not sure if i could have caught him or not..but i was impressed for sure..that thing really moves !!. im gonna try to find out whats done to that car..my ex is a service writer at bmw.. so she tell me whats up...another one of my buddys said it sounded like the car he saw at the local track last summer and it went like 12.0 at 118..but i think that was a m6....either way it was fun next time i see him.. where going from a digg for sure!!

SHES ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well i finaly got alil bit of good luck going.. i riped back in the the motor this morning and found that a few rockers had just came loose..so i pulled the push rods.. good thing i put some hardend ones in..haha.. and checked over everything.. put it back to gether..crossed my fingers annd VOOOOOOOOoooom..sounds great.. it needs a tune bad doesnt wanna idle.. but thats a givin.. my tuner is gonna come to lansing tue or wend to tune it for me.. i cant wait.. so untill then im just gonna baby it around... i cant lie.. i did do alil 3/4 throttle of a stop sign.. and well it spun all 4 so i would say its makin some ok power.haha.. u guys should have seen the look on the g/fs face when i did it it was somehting like ..haha she was like OMG i just lost my stomic..then said feels alot stronger then the lightning did...her brother had one..haha ..i thought it was funny though.. anyways i cant wait to feel it with my foot to the floor !

hey guys.. thanks for all the complements.. i wish i had more pics.. but to be honest ive been sooooo glued to the SSS tryin to get it back up and running.. that the camaro has just been sittin sence i got it back... but now that the truck its ALIVE again..lol and im broke...lol i can started workin on gettin the camaro back up and running.. i need some money.. i was going to put a fogger kit on it this year.. but im thinkin about sellin the motor and the powerglide.. and going to a blown or turbo 6.0 ( maybe 408)and a six speed.. and make it a cruzer again well still a 10s cruzer..haha..i guess i should get my ass in gear and atleast get the interior back in it..and then all im waiting on is my one of spoiler..and the interior and body will be done ......thinkin about puttin some of earnharts black octane wheels on it... i black 20s on it before i think it looked sweet..

well...the good news... got the truck up and running today..everything seemed ok.. let it run for a few mins.. then shut it off. the blower seemed alil louder then i remeber..but didnt think much of it..then i there was a vac line i couldnt remeber where it went so i didnt think much of it i would figure it out when i got the truck home..and for some reason my boost gauge was pegged out even when the truck wasnt running so im alil confused on that it sweeps back and forth when i turn the key but then just pegs out....so anyways i go for alil drive everything seems ok then i notice alil tick like a header bolt is lose i dont think much of it.. just get it home and il figure it out.. and then it gets louder and louder.. then the check eng light starts flashing.. :shock: i limp it back in the drive way.. and soemthing it really not right.. not sure what it is maybe i droped a lifter or a valve spring or something like that.. i hope its nothin lower.. il find out in the morning when i dig back in to it.. im to frustered to even try tonite.. my luck never stops..grr im about ready for a FOR SALE SIGN !..

well you guys with the black trucks rims are easy .us guys with the fast color trucks Victory red is alil harder to do the right rim on and being able to pull of a black rim would be nice imo..
