  3. i woudlnt be so sure that its not real... have u guys ever seen the cars they have now there in detroit?? try comeing up for woodward dream cruz..u will see every kinda cop mi has to..vettes... camaros..hell i even saw a jag there last year... mi doesnt mess around!!
  4. ok so basily keep the stock heads and do alil port work? instead of buyin heads?..what about valvetrain? do i need rockers and/or a vavles or anything or just clean them up and slapem on... just out of curisity.. and one make and short or long block crate?...just curious..im sure i can build one cheaper then buyin one .. if i can pick this complete motor up a buddy has for 500 ... but im still curious what they run money wise
  5. well i agree with what ur sayin...im just havent been around these motors long anuf to know what works and what lastest...my goal is to drive the wheels of the truck... ive already got a monster in the garge when ever i wanna scare my self... i need something i drive to work most ever day its nice out.. and pull up to a light.. and pretty much not have to worry..haha but thats gettin harder and harder to do its gettin to the point u almost have to have soemthing in the 11s just to do that.. i thought i was going to be able to use stock heads.. but from the sounds of it no?.. do they need alot of work.. i thougth they flowed alot .. i was told it wasnt worth it to put head on with a 112 because it couldnt feed them?.. but are u sayin with the more cubics i can move more air? so its now worth it? im just tryin to build a budget ... or look at different opp and see which one fits m budget.. thats why i was thinkin about the 370 and a 112 because its what il already have.. most bang for my buck i suppose
  6. well mr p... i agree....i would like to use the stock i wanted to use the stock cranks..and stock heads if i can... not sure if i need to do anyting to the head or not..valves or rockers... and i was still thowin the idea around about upgrading the radix... but i dont know if its really worth it.. $2300??? for not that much more boost i dont think.. i dunno still reading it do it
  7. i think im going to keep it easy and go with a 370...ive yet to be talk out of it.. but its still up in the air alil...untill i make an order that is..lol basicly look at whos number one on here.. krambo.. and hes runnin a stockish..lol 6.0 with a 112..so how can u go wrong..and its still runnin strong..i dont need to be the fastest.. just want it to hold together
  8. well good news.. i think im might have been able to come up with some money.. so its rebuild time.. now i just need to build a parts list.. who wants to help?? i know everyone likes to spend someone else's money..haha
  9. thanks...ohh im sure u guys will know.. im counting on your guys to help me deside.. im still thinkin 370 just not sure what its going to cost...i think i found a motor for $500ish.. i got to figure out what its going to cost for the rest
  10. well if anyone would know.. u would know krambo..lol....i can understand they can make the power.. but i really havent seen them yet.. but i havent dug much yet..seems like most of them were running mid to high 12s...where i was running low 12.. and u were running high 11s..and i would be mroe then happin to hang on your rear bumper of your old set up... that i should have bought!..haha
  11. thanks thats funny about the fossil thing.. i was jokin about that last nite... as were were diggin pieces out .. and jokin around about well what we have here is a ...etc...i thougth it was just cause i was just that tired.. ya i like the idea of a 408.. but i dunno.. just not that impressed with them i mean dont get me wrong they are bad ass!!.. but i dunno then i gotta buy a bottle and spray it just to get where im at now..and a blower never need to be refilled ... maybe im wrong..
  12. well i understand what u mean.. but the truck ran 12.3 at 111mph...on a stock motor.. and stock cam and my thoughs numbers its got more in it.. was just spinning alil ive thougth about the upgrade.. but its what 2400? and then i get the head unit back.. and i cant really do anything with that? i dont think anyone would want just the headunit woudl they? i dont evenknow what that woud be worth.. i wish u could just send it in.. and they would keep it all and just take more money off...thats alot up money for an upgrade

  14. ya thats right.. seems like everything i break.. i BREAKKK.. no reason to half ass it right?...makes for good things on the wall of shame!!!..haha damnit! ya im thinkin forged for sure...im just trying to get ideas around for what im going to do..i dont need to make a monster out of it.. trucks these big running low 12 or high 11 is already a monster if u ask me.. but i just want it strong.. so i can drivee the piss out of it.. and not worry about it...( as much ) lol so thats in the works at the moment..so many ways to go..i was think about just forgen a stock motor and puttin a cam in...or a 370 with a good blower cam.. but not sure what the hp diff is.. or even sell the radix and get the new one... but then again i was so close to high 11s ...that much more power is going to break that much more shit..lol i just have it stuck in my head how i really kick my self in the ass with my camaro.. i cant drive as much as a would like because its soo radical... that i dont wanna do that to this truck.. i love the truck and i wanna drive it that the whole point !!...but ive always got the go fast bug..lol anyways.. thanks for the support guys!
  15. thanks guys.. no i think it was 6...sorry if im wrong i was up till like 5 am last nite.. so im alil pooped...but passagner side 3ed back from the front...ya its pretty nasty..the rod broke and took a one inch by one inch hole in the inside bottom of the cyl wall and then wedged its stub..lol in the under side of the block which explains why i cant turn it over.. we even tried to break it loose with a breaker bar..but no luck..it was pretty amazing.. i thought i was in pretty good shape.. i mean for the block.. did see a scrach at first... then put my hand to to feel for anything and well found it..haha son of a bitch!!!!... then followedd by... wellll theres your problem..haha anyways the last to pics are of the bottom of the blower manifold after we slit it apart.. and that about made me puke..... but some how nothin made it though the inner cooler in to the blower head.. i dont know how!!... i cant belive how many pieces there are.. and how many small fine ones there are.. puts a new meaning to detanation...it frickin exploded!!

  17. heres alil update... final got the blower apart.... and it about made me but after a better look.. everythings ok...some one nothing even made it in the the cooler let alone in the blower it self.. so i got damn lucky i think..

  19. well i talked to him alil more today on my lunch didnt have much time... but the changer he was haven all the luck with on the mustang was a whipple.. and all he was basicly doin was cleanin up the manifold.. so hes not touchin the blower at all really.. its kinda like puttin a bigger j tube .. lettin it get in the blower faster.. and out of the blower as fast and clean as possible still hasnt had a chance to crack my blower open to see if everythings a ok or no so much..this is killin me

  22. good info.. that makes sence.. i was curious about this myself i asked about the blower whine awhile back..never really got a strait answer i was talkin with my motor builder.. and tellin him how most guys say .. that the 112 isnt anuf and runs out of steam... if u go with anymore then a 370.. he says there ways around that with going bigger bore and changin the piston hieght .. to basicly trick the blower..and u dont have to spin it as fast either.. i wish i could have talk to him more.. but i had to run.. and have been back yet.. so i was wondering if anyone else had thougth about or played around with these ideas... im going to have to do a motor here soon.. so im curious.. or is just the 370 the magic number
