Yeah that would be my only worry, and chances are if I get a 10-15K SSS I'll only keep it a year or two unless I really like it.

I'm not a fan of the interior... Looks to me are alright, at least the '06-'08 front grills. The biggest turnoff to this truck is the messed up body though, quite a few little scratches and dents, what the heck maybe a project

Sorry, it's an '04 24 Valve, Quad Cab 2wd. My dad also has an '07 megacab 4x4 that only does 15 or so highway...

Oh, and on my way back on my last trip I wasn't able to check for sure, but I know I got 19 if not 20 mpg with the truck, programmer on 60+ horsepower and driving worse than on the way there when I had the programmer on 30+ and got 17...

The cummins I might buy is my dad's and it's already got bigger injectors (3 of 6 stock ones went out), aftermarket manifold (stock one snapped bolts and warped), and I already have a programmer for it... I already have a really expensive '68 C-10 project with a crazy motor going into that thing, if I didn't have that truck, I would definatly buy me something pretty nice but now my limit is around 12-15K if even that much, and I do drive quite a bit...

Yeah diesels can have crazy power with great fuel mileage, but ONLY when driving nice, push the pedal and your fuel drains as fast or faster than a modded gas. I like both, if I drove an SS I just might be hooked, but SS owners telling me to go with a diesel...

What's everyone's average highway fuel mileage driving decently nice around 65-75? I'm trying to decide what to get between possibly an ss or another 5.3 Chevy and a Dodge Cummins 2500... Do the 6.0s do much worse than the 5.3s or about the same or better? I've heard both..

My dad needs to have a trailer delivered from north Texas to Idaho, 1900 miles, and we quoted the guy only $1500 so that hardly pays the cost... Any ideas of something we could do to make the return trip worth it, any body need anything between zip codes 75486 and 83860? or anybody going in this direction? Trailer needs to be delivered by mid next week and it might be me and a friend that will end up going... Could possibly take an extra trailer to deliver a vehicle if needed. Let me know, willing to work something out.

I just saw this thing on ebaymotors today, so doubt it's sold yet... When I saw that he was a silveradoss.com member I knew it was a good truck. Almost makes me wish I didn't have my old project truck so I could afford this thing.

what's the difference betweent the ss 6.0 liter engine and the gto 6.0 liter engine cuz the ss has 345 hp and the gto has 400 hp? just wondering
