Wow guys I can't believe I won truck of the month it's such an honor! I'd like to take this time to thank everyone on this forum for all your help with all the questions I've had and all the tips you guys gave me throughout my build. I'm running an 8 inch crank and a 3.2 inch pulley on those runs. With the old motor it was making about 13 psi. Let me know if you have anymore questions

if your stock I'd run the goodyear belt since its nice and quiet. If your supercharged I'd run the gates green HD belt. I've had good success with my gates belt. Adam

ahh ok the reason I asked if because I have the stock rotating assembly off my 6.0l, so if you had a 6.0l and the cylinder wall was still good I was gonna see if you wanted a piston and rod. I would have just given it to you as long as you paid shipping but it looks like you got it all figure out....Was just gonna try and help out. G/L man hope it all works out Adam

Hey everyone, Im selling one of my trucks and bought another brand new 2011 gmc HD for work. My older 2008 truck has a CD player in it, where the new truck doesn't. I took the CD player out of the 2008 and put it into the new 2011. When I turned the radio on I knew it would be locked since the VIN doesn't match the new truck. When I went to the dealer to unlock the radio they said that the newer style gmc trucks have a different system to unlock the radio and that they couldn't unlock this radio since its off an older 2008 model. Can someone confirm this? Does this mean Ill need a radio from a 2011? thanks Adam

I run a cricle-D converter in my 4l80e and it is a very nice piece. Chris is a good guy to deal with and very helpful. The one thing I like about my Cricle-D is that mine has a 6 bolt design instead of the three bolt design like my old PI converter. Adam

I found the pictures but thee too big to put on Ill have to figure something out.

My first 1/8th mile runs were low 8's when Zippy started to tune it the best run was 7.6 in the 1/8th. Keep in mined this was with the old motor. Without the spacer, heads, new headers, higher compression and it wasn't dialled in yet. My next trip to the track will be a 1/4 mile track so see how it runs. Zippy has some idea of what it will do but I wont say anything until I go to the track. As for my heads yes they are trick flow 235 Cathedral style ports, very nice head. I think I have some pictures of the new motor.
