  1. The HID kit behind the grill looks very pimp.
  2. Truck finally hit 100K a few weeks ago and I know that is usually the time to replace the Serpentine and the A/C belt. I was wondering what else you guys would replace when doing this. Pretty much rolling with all AC/Delco parts. Here is the list from RockAuto that I pulled together from the AC/Delco website. I pretty much just listed everything. Probably overkill but rather replace it all while the belts are off then have to go back and do it again. 2005 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 5.3L 323cid V8 FI (T) OHVBelt Drive : BeltRelated PartsACDELCO Part # 6K930 {#88932786} K06 13/16" x 93 5/8" BELT,SERPENTINE W/145A. 3. She is very talented. What did you do as payment
  4. Nice, guess I will have to take a look at this. Thanks for the info.
  5. Hmm How has it worked out for you bro. Looks very nice! What have you been able to use on it? Rusty suspension bolts or anything?
  6. Nice, so you use the electric gun for using suspension and pretty much everything else. These were my 2 options so far: http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=yes&tool=power&item_ID=89671&group_ID=24645&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog or maybe this one http://www.amazon.com/Bare-Tool-Milwaukee-2662-20-18-Volt-Battery/dp/B002AKKJAY/ref=pd_cp_hi_pw_1 and since I am using this at home only I was even thinking about: http://www.lowes.com/pd_28180-11241-6904_0__?productId=3307992&Ntt=impact+wrench&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dimpact%2Bwrench&facetInfo=
  7. Well fellas, since I bought a home a while ago I feel it is time to get an air compressor and air gun to make my life easier and garage happy. Just wondering what you guys would recommend. Of course it would be used from wheels to taking about suspension to anything else I can think of. Getting a little tired of using hand tools in crazy spots and ripping my hands apart. Looking at $200 - $300 for the compressor. Looking for something quite also. Haven't thought about the gun.
  8. First time experiencing something like this and this was definitely and oh shit moment. I was at work and we though someone was moving some heavy equipment over top of us. Then the building shook and knocked somethings off the wall. Immediately got my ass under a table. They evacuated the building and I rolled the hell out. Work in the Reston area and got low heading back to to the southern MD area.
  9. Yea I am kinda thinking the same thing. As much as I know the 22 TBSS would look really really good, I just know with all the damn construction and how the roads will be for the next few years I think the 20's would be a better look. Thanks for the advice.
  10. Well, since the rims that are in my sig below ended up getting some pitting from the wonderful salt roads here in MD I am torn between the options above. I like to keep a nice size profile tire in case I ever have to go off-road but I am not doing any heavy duty off roading. I am pretty sure that even if I looked at some 22"s my gas mileage will go to shit but wonder if it is a major difference from the 20s I have. FYI I do tow from time to time, I use my bed often, and of course the roads of DC or Baltimore have the issues. Thanks for your opinion.
  11. Normally just OJ but I am also pounding away 1.5L of water to stay hydrated. Makes me go to the bathroom but does the trick. Can't drink coffee. Makes me sick.
  12. What's going on. Here is a link to some pics from a car show I was in today. Almost pulled out third place if it wasn't for this damn El Camino. They grouped that car with us trucks. Hope you enjoy. ALL GM show, Rockville MD
  13. Amsoil signature series with Mobil 1 filter all day.
  14. But what I ended up doing was swinging past the dealer since I needed to get something else and got a set of the ACDELCO plugs that came with the truck. Running Taylor wires also. Get you a CAI, Exhaust and Tune and that should do just fine.
  15. Low pressure switch you say? Interesting. Since the days have been cool I haven't checked but will keep that in mind.
  16. Well I bought R134a and tried to put some in but when I checked the gauge, the mofo was already in the yellow. I was like WTF! I will have to look into this one bro and see what I can find.
  17. So since we have had the wonderful heat wave in MD my AC has a mind of its own. I can start the truck, let it sit and idle and I can feel the AC fine. While I am driving around cruising at speed I can feel the AC no problem. When I give it just a little bit of gas, the AC cuts out some and then comes back as I let off the gas and drive easy. Any ideas?
  18. Mods: Airraid CAI, LLP long tube headers, no cats, 40 series mangnaflow muffler, taylor wires, trans go shift kit with some extra goodies, T/A girdle, and the icing on the cake, 93 octane Wheatley tune.
  19. What would be more cost effective. I would definitely like to break into the 300whp mark and get more tq but if it is going to cost me like 3 -4 grand for some heads and camshafts, would I be better off going for the magna supercharger?
  20. 278whp / 331tq And I needed an oil change. Now I have the need for more power. Sorry for the terrible quality. My phones sucks and I drove past a car show while I was in NJ and stopped by there for a hot sec. Saw the dyno and said lets go for it.
  21. No I have not scanned it yet but I will make sure to do it.
  22. So disconnect battery and air bags fuses also?
  23. Good evening. So yesterday I went to get into my truck and I noticed that the service air bag light popped up out of nowhere. The truck has been sitting for the past 4 days relaxing from a car show where I had no issues or lights that came on. I already did some Google searches and I am trying to rule out as much as possible. Ø I have disconnected the negative battery terminal for 15 mins and went back and the light came on. Ø I sat the passenger seat to see if the ON star light would come on for the passenger air bag and that did so I think that side is ok. Ø I moved the seat up and noticed that there was a connection behind the seat. Disconnected and reconnected it and the service light is still on. Are there any other suggestions or places I can look to try and fix this before having to take this in. Thanks for the help fellas.
