  1. I was wondering if anyone has expierence this. When I go to my DRL the radio signal is fine but when they come on it goes fuzzy. Anyone figure a way to fix this? I plan on putting HID's in my fogs soon and don't want to make it worse.
  2. I plan on ordering the tru cool in the summer so I am down.
  3. do you have previous pics of the truck? I hope you find them and give them HELL!!!!
  4. I guess the most expensive route I would think but would give m a piece of mind is air bags. I would dump the truck everytime I get out. Of course the maintenance over would add up, but no one could steal the cats or flad bed it out.
  5. Cool. Thank guys for the info. Oh in the winter time I take it easy anyway. Cold tires and cold roads do not mix.
  6. Good morning fellas. I wanted to get your opinion on this. Ever since it has been extremely cold here on the east coast and the truck has been sitting a few days, when I drive it, shifting through 1st -3rd is fine but when I am cruising on the highway it takes a few mins for it to eventually drop to 4th. Once it does drop to 4th its for the rest of the drive and the rest of the day. When it was warmer the tranny didn't do it, but only when it is extremely cold. Do you think it is time to beef up the tranny? The tranny fluid is still pink and the fluid level is still perfect.
  7. looks good but mine are too blue. I can't see shit at night. going to 4300K
  8. Hey Fireman, Where did you order your parts from? I am going to look online for some and maybe purchase it soon just to have it on the safe side.
  9. ok so after doing some searching it sounds like that is how the rear diff usually sounds when it is locking and unlocking. Just sounded a little funny that is all. A friend a mine has a cusco locking diff and I know his think locks even when he is turning so I just wanted to make sure. Looks like I will keep my eye out for an eaton lsd to be on the safe side.
  10. I was thinking the same thing for the shift kits. Hey Zippy, I would use this truck as a DD but tow my honda from time to time. Would the shift kit and the clutch band upgrade work well? I am looking to into upgrading the tq converter and read somewhere that the trailblazer SS is pretty good and raisies the stall up to 2600rpms.
  11. Good morning everyone and happy holidays. Well I drove up to NJ last night to visit my family and while I was at my mechanic shop I got stuck in a sheet of ice in on a mound. The truck is 2WD so I am had to try and rock it back and forth with breaking the tranny and the rear diff. A little different from my honda. Well, as I was doing this for some reason I felt the rear diff locking and unlocking pretty rough on the ice. I changed the rear diff fluid during turkey day and man was that old fluid dark and burnt. Do you guys think my rear diff is going out? I got the truck with 55k on it. Only has 63K on it now and I never break boost or tried to burn the tires. I got it from a family member that passed but I hope they didn't do burn outs all day I do see on sticker in the glove box it says G80 and read that is a locking diff just don't know if it should be a smooth engagement or should I hear/feel it.
  12. I figure I would ask the question first before I try and tackle this. Does anyone know the front brake line specs? I need to flush my brake fluid and I am going to use ATE Super Blue. I contacted Earl's performance for brake lines but they don't make them for my truck because I have drums in the rear. If anyone has the specs I would appreciate it. Also do you think this would be something hard to accomplish?
  13. That thing got some get up and go!!!
  14. LOL, I would get rid of them but since the g/f is 5'3 it helps her get out of it. I am still debating if I am going to lower it or not. Last winter traveling from MD to NJ it helped to have the height with the snow
  15. Wazzup people's. Sorry it took so long for pics but here you go. Mods: Airaid CAI, Taylor wires, magnaflow exhaust, Wheately tune
  16. I just got my Wheatley tune and damn this trucks feels soooo much better. The truck feels like it is alive now and all that get up and go is on tap. That guy is cool as hell also. He answered all my questions and schooled on new info also. Go wheatley or Go home!
  17. Well going over bumps above 55mph. I have really only balanced the wheels once which was a few months ago so I figure it will be time again for a balance. Yes I did have the rotated and there is no uneven wear. Running chevy aftermarket 20's. I will try and jack the front of the truck up and test everything out.
  18. No noticable clunking just more of a vibration and it only happens going over bumps between 55-65mph. I don't believe the truck is still under warranty but I will check. Sitting at about 60k right.
  19. If you guys need some more info just let me know.
  20. and what exactly does this mod help remove?
  21. What's going on people. First off my truck is an 05 silverado ext cab 2WD. I see you guys have a lot of knowledge so hopefully you can help. Whenever I drive my truck and I hit a pot hole or a nasty bump on the highway the whole truck shakes and feels like the steering wheel wants to come out of my hands. now the truck drives fine and I know I need to get my wheels balanced again. Man these 20s need to be balanced often. I am thinking maybe I need to replace my shocks but figure I would put the word out. Thanks for the help.
