I had them done by a place in BC Canada which is now out of business. I didn't want to plate my original ducts & grilles so I bought another set and had them plated, I still have all of the original grilles and ducts hanging on my storeroom wall. The main upper grille is a GM Accessories grille bought through my local dealer.

I had mine done about 6 years ago. If I remember correctly it cost about $300 for the 2 ducts, 2 duct grilles, and lower bumper grille. And that didn't include shipping costs.

Dave, sorry to hear of your misfortune....I say...let's get a rope and string em up! I am glad to hear you still have your SS after all these years! I still have mine, have just under 62k on the odo now.

What...it's about SSS's???...I could have swore it was just for regular Silverado's and make believe SSS's, rarely see any true SSS's on there. I dropped the group.

My Firefox showed that logo for awhile after the site update on 4/9/14, it eventually changed. Have you tried a "Forced Refresh" (Ctrl + F5) or (shift + reload current page button in the tool bar)?

2003 Upper Intermediate Steering Column Shaft is part # 19153614. And here's the procedure for replacing it if anyone needs it.

I'd forgotten all about the steering clunk problem! My SS had it too and the dealer replaced the steering shaft at I think just over 36k mileage, am at 61k now and it's still "clunkless"!

Hi Clay, I was lucky enough to find a guy on PT.net that had a like new pair for an 03 for $90 shipped. I don't know if you are aware or not, but later years...don't know what year they changed....had a black or darker red outer lip than the 03's. Ray

Both of my tail lights have developed the white spot areas the arrows point to in the picture. Has anyone else had their taillights do this, and can they be repaired? I've already replaced them but if these can be salvaged all the better!

I have that same poster only mine does not have any numbers on it. My salesman took it off their wall and gave it too me several years ago.

Looks like a hack job to me! I'd contact your insurance adjuster and tell them. It could be the body shop is getting paid for a GM OEM factory exhaust system but are hacking a system together to make more profit at your expense. Hopefully the adjuster isn't in cahoots with the body shop. Good luck!

It's good that you're checking the Carfax on your car before attempting to sell it. My daughter went to trade her car in at a dealership and they ran a carfax on it and it was red flagged with: “Branded Title: Not Actual Mileage”, and it also stated this information came from a State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The carfax was wrong! My daughter hadn't put many miles on her car in the years she owned it and just because of that it got red flagged! And because of their INACCURATE REPORT she lost out on a good deal! I had to jump through a bunch of hoops in order to get the CarFax report corrected and one of those hoops was contacting our states DMV and they said they had no record/information on her cars mileage! So who knows where or what DMV they received their mileage info from! So don't believe their reporting is 100% accurate because it is not.

Hey Clay! Yeah, I don't see may SSS's in my area either. I see the most during the summer when you coasties come over to Lake Chelan! Saw a black one in Quincy a couple of months ago and it had lawn care business stickers all over it. How's the Camaro SS doing? I heard about a guy shooting his wife and himself while sitting in a new red Camaro a couple of weeks ago in Wenatchee. Ray

Grabbed a burger at Miner's yesterday (Sunday 0/7/13)@ 12:00 saw a Black SS sitting in the parking lot next to the Miner's parking lot. Looked to have a Shopman bowtie and had it's brake duct's painted black and had stock grey SS wheels. Belong to anyone here? I can't say in all the years I've been here that I've ever seen anyone post that lives in Yakima!
