[Replacing Rotors and Pads, Anything special I need to know.]

I just ordered my front rotors and pads from R1Concepts today. I'm going to replace them this weekend. I have seen in the past some people had problems with their brakes after doing this (ie ABS lights etc) I have done this many times before on other cars but never on the SS. Does anyone have any special tips I should know about the SS. Also a FYI for everyone. When I ordered the pads and rotors from R1Concepts I mentioned the SS forum and got a hell of a discount. Thanks for any help.

So I looked at the other thread on the 15" rotors. But I don't have that kinda of money since I just started a new job. My question is what is your recommendation for stock front drilled and slotted rotors and what kind of pads for someone thats on a tight budget. I just now turned 145k and the wear indicators are just starting to squel. Also what kind of paint to use on the calipers because I'm going to do the truck and my wifes car at the same time. Thank you for any info.

I also replaced my Bose with JL about 2 years ago. I drilled the holes and used the clips. I also took some thin insulation I had sitting around and put it around the back of the speaker where it layed against the door. That kept it from rattling. Haven't had a problem since.

Man that sucks ass. These trucks are built really strong. I went head to head with a 1 ton toyota back in 2009 and it destroyed the 1 ton. Didn't even hurt my radiator. All plastic damage.

Well I know that you will wont to stay away from Phoenix itself. The suburbs are very nice. If I had to live down there I would like to live in the Eastern Part in either Chandler or Gilbert. I have been everywhere in the area and I have to say those 2 places are the best.

Ihad the same problem when I first lowered my truck(3/4). Took the bump stop brackets off and it very rarely slams anymore. My tail lights are fine. but I also have the stock tail lights in my garage just in case. What shocks are you running?

There's not much to run up here in North Tucson. But today I was pulling out of the gas station and saw a Ext Silverado, very nice gun metal grey color. I could see after market coolers behind his grill. It was lowered just like mine. Pulled out and he kinda waited for me. I could hear his exhaust sounded pretty healthy. I knew this wans't going to be good when I saw his plate said BLOWN53. We pulled on to the freeway and we both got on it. Within a second or 2 I was just a memory in his rearview mirror LOL. Got to talk to him at the light, said he had 700hp to the wheels. Nice looking truck, sick ass fast. I told him to join this group. Nice guy, said he was part of performancetrucks.net. I couldn't believe how fast he pulled away from me. Nice kill by him LOL.
